A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A SUBORDINATION AGREEMENT
FROM THE PACIFIC TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COM-
PANY SUBORDINATING ITS INTEREST IN CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY TO THE INTEREST OF THE CITY.
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the South Half
of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter
of Section 3; thence Easterly along the Northerly
line of the South Half of the Northeast Quarter of
the Southwest Quarter of said Section 3 to a point
in the Northerly extension of the Westerly line of
the land described as Parcel 2 in the deed to U. S.
Industrial Alcohol Co., recorded November 15, 1926,
in Book 689, Page 83 of Deeds records of said
Orange County; thence South 0° 02' 15" East, along
said extended line and along the Westerly line of
Parcels 1 and 2 as conveyed to said U.S. Industrial
Alcohol Co. by deed above mentioned to a point
North 0 02' 15" West 1022.00 feet from the South-
erly line of said Section 3, said point being the
true point of beginning of this description; thence
continuing South 0 02 15" East, 115.00 feet to
the Northeast corner of that parcel of land conveyed
to the Merrifield Trucking Co., as shown on Map
filed in Book 16, Page 39 of Records of Survey of
said County; thence along the Northerly line of
said parcel, and parallel to the Southerly line of
said Section 3, 603.99 feet to the Westerly line of
the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section
3, and the center line of North Lemon Street, 60.00
feet in width; thence along the Westerly line of
the East half of the Southwest Quarter of said Sec-
tion 3 and the center line of North Lemon Street,
North 0 01' 05" East, 115.00 feet; thence East
603.87 feet, more or less, to the true point of
beginning, and containing an area of 1.594 acres,
more or less, excepting the Westerly 30.00 feet in-
cluded within the lines of Lemon Street.

WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has acquired an easement
for an electric transmission line in, over and upon the real
property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California, described as follows, to wit:
The Easterly 5.00 feet of all that portion of the
East Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 3,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. M., des-
cribed as follows:
AND WHEREAS, the real property above described over which
the City has an easement for an electric transmission line is in-
cluded in the property described in that certain lease dated
December 3, 1947 in which the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Com-
pany is the owner of an interest affecting a portion of said
property; and
WHEREAS, the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company has
submitted to the City a Subordination Agreement, dated August 15,
1962, whereby it does subordinate its interest in said real pro-
perty to the interest and estate therein of the City of Anaheim,
and does agree to hold the interest of the said Telephone and
Telegraph Company subject and inferior to the interest and right
of the City in said land; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that said Subor-
dination Agreement would be for the benefit and best interest of
the City and should be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Subordination Agreement, dated
August 15, 1962, submitted to the City of Anaheim by the Pacific
Telephone and Telegraph Company, wherein and whereby the said
Telephone and Telegraph Company does subordinate its interest in
the real property hereinabove described to the interest and estate
therein of the City of Anaheim and does agree to hold the interest
of said Company subject and inferior to the interest and right of
the City in said land, be and the same is hereby accepted.
