RES-2025-014RESOLUTION NO. 2025-014 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE OR HIS DESIGNEE TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TO THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES, FOR THE 2024 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM URBAN AREAS SECURITY INITIATIVE WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (the "Grantor") has heretofore invited public agencies, including the City of Anaheim, to submit applications to the Grantor for the 2024 Homeland Security Grant Program Urban Areas Security Initiative ("HSGP UASI) (the "Grant'); and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to submit an application to the Grantor for said Grant; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is familiar with the terms, conditions and limitations of any such Grant; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is willing and able to conform to each of the terms, conditions and limitations imposed upon any such Grant to the City; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to accept any such Grant which may be awarded to the City; and WHEREAS, the California Office of Emergency Services, which office administers the Grant on behalf of the Grantor, has advised the Anaheim Police Department Police Support Services Administrator that prior to grant funding, the City Council must, by resolution, identify the projects scheduled to be funded with the Grant. WHEREAS, once the Grant Funds are received by the City, the annual budget of the City will be amended as appropriate; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: 1. The Anaheim Chief of Police or his designee is hereby authorized to submit a grant application for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, to fund the projects listed in Exhibit A hereto and incorporated herein by reference. 2. The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby agrees to, and by this resolution, does accept any such Grant so awarded to the City of Anaheim without further action of the City Council being required therefor. 3. The City of Anaheim hereby agrees to comply with each and all of the terms, conditions and limitations imposed by the Grantor upon said Grant, and the Anaheim Police Department Operations Division Captain, the Anaheim Police Department Police Support Services Administrator, the Anaheim Chief of Police or the Anaheim City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to execute any agreements, assurances, or other documents that are required or necessary in connection with the acceptance and implementation of said Grant, if such Grant is awarded to the City. 4.
