WHEREAS, on the 24thday of January, 1978, the Cit_v
Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt t,esolution No. 78P. 64
finding and determining that tine public convenience and neces-
sity required the Brookhurst Community Center Landscaping Improve-
ments, in the City of Anaheirl; and
WiiERSA5, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerl~ to publish a notice according to lava inviting sealer?
proposals for the above-mentioned public irnproverient and fi.:inc~
the 16th day of February, 1978, at t~ze hour of 2:00 o'clock P.Iv.,
as the date- and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon saki 16th day of February, 1978, at the
hour of 2 :00 0' clocr; P.I. , the City Cler}> and City Engineer did
open the bids received up to that hour, in p~.iclic, in tie City
Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did review
said bids and did report the result thereof to the City Council
at its regular meeting held on the 28th day of February, 1978;
and
WHEREAS, the Parrs, Recreation and the Arts Department
does hereby recommend to the City Council that the work in ques-
tion can be performed more economically by the City with its own
employees and that said bids should, therefore, be rejected. and
said work performed by City forces.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
"the City of Anaheim that the bids received up to the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.?~i. on the 1&th day of February, 1978, reviewed by the
City Engineer and submitted to the City Council on February 28,
1978, for the Brookhurst Con~rnunity Center Landscaping, Account lvo.
16-4309-812-18-0000, be, and the same are hereby, rejected.
BE IT FURTHER P.ESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
declare and determine that, in its opinion, said work can be per-
formed more economically by the City with its own employees and,
therefore, authorizes the performance of said work by City forces.
