CIl°iDINIG RESOLUTION: N3O. ?7R-209.
W~lEREAS, heretofore, on the 29th da~T of march, 1977,
the City Council did pass its Resolution No. 77R-209 authorizing
the Executive Director of the Community Development Departr«ent or
Manager of the Housing and Neighborhood Preservation to apt~rove,
enter into, and execute on behalf of the City of Anaheit~z, indivi-
dual housing repair and maintenance service agreerc~ents; and
~r~THEREAS, ti2e City of Anaheim has been granted funds by
the Orange County P~Ianpower Commission pursuant to the Comprehensive
Employment and Training Act of 1973 for the development and opera-
tion of a Housing Repair and i~2aintenance Training Project; and
I^7HLR%~~5, the City of Anaheim has been granted funds by
the United States Department of Housing anc~ Urban Developrt~ent for
the Cor~~dunity Development I31oci~ Grant Prograr~~ to provide necessary
rllaterials for said Housing Repair and I~aintena,ice Project; and.
WHEREAS, the North Orange County Cor~~nunity College Dis-
trict has contracted ~~aith the Cit~T of Araheir.: to provicie training
and "on-site" experience in housing rek~air and r~laintenance in con-
nection with said Housing Repair and Ts!iaintenance Training Project;
and
~1HE12EAS, certain owners of houses in saic housing Repair
and maintenance Training Project Area desire to obtain housing re-
pair and maintenance for their property ana are willincJ to ~erniit
their property to be utilized for "on-site" training pursuant to
said Agreement between the City of Anan.eir~, and North Orange County
Cor.~nunity College District relating to mousing Repair and ~dsainten-
ance Training; and
V~T1iEREAS, a forte of agreement providing for housing re-
pair and r~iaintenance services to be perforr;~ed upon said home
owners' property has been prepared to be made and entered into
between the City of Anaheim and said individual horde owners; and

tiTHER~S, the City Council finds that the current
$4,000.00 limit for materials and su?~plies is inadequate to re-
habilitate deteriorated homes; and
jaHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit and in the best interests of the City to delegate
~-- authority to the Executive Directory Community Development or the
P~Tanager, Housing and Neighborhood Preservation tv approve, enter
into, and execute on behalf of the City of AnaizeirE~ said individual
housing repair and raintenance service agreements in amounts no•t to
exceed $5,000.00 per home; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the
best interest of the City to contract with private contractors for
portions of the work that cannot be performed by the housing repair
and maintenance project.
NOth~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Executive Director, Community Develop-
ment Department or the Manager, Housing and 1V'eighborhood Preserva-
tion be, and they are hereby, authorized to enter and execute said
individual housing repair and maintenance service agreements in the
amounts not to exceed $5,000.00 per home, for and on behalf of the
City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council that the Exe-
cutive Director, .Community Development Department or the Manager,
Housing and I~leighborhood Preservation be, and they are hereby,
authorized to enter into and execute, on behalf of the City of
Anaheim, agreements with contractors for the performance of worl~
that cannot be performed by the Housing Repair and I~Taintenance
Project; provided, .however, that the total amount of such contract
or contracts shall not exceed $2,00.0.00 on any single n.ome.
BE IT FUP.`-'HER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 77R-209 dated
March 29, 1977, be, and it is hereby, rescinded.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTIO%T is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheirii this Toth day of January ,
