A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO. 644.
WHEREAS, the City Planning ComDission of the City
of Anaheim did receive 8 petition from the owner and/or
agent of certain real property situated in the City of Ang-
heim, County of Orange, State of California, described as
follows:
Lots 57, 58, 65 and 66 of Block "E" of the
Southwest quarter (SW~) of Vineyard Lot C-3
of Heimann & George's Acidition;
(Said property be i nt;' locc:,ted at 312 North
Los Angeles Street)
AND 'dHEI~AS, the City Planning Commission did hold
a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
October 15, 1956, notices of which said public hearing were
duly given, as required by law ano, the provisions of Section
9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
\iHEREAS, said City Planning Commission, after due
inspection, investigation and studies made by itself and in
its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and
reports offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No. 78,
Series 1956-57, recommending that Variance No. 644 be granted
upon the conditions therein set forth; and
lrnEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution a written appeal
was filed with the City Council of the City of Anaheim protest-
ing the action of the City PIHnning Commission granting said
variance, and said appeal was set for public hearing on the
20th day of November, 1956, at 7:00 o'clock P. M., in the City
Hall in the City of Ane.heim, and notice of such public hearing
was duly given as required, by law and the provisions of Section
9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportun-
i ty to be heard, ancl did continue said, hearing to December 11th,
1956, at 7:00 o'clock P. M.; and
IrnEREAS, after due investigation and studies made by
itself and. in its behalf, and after due consideration of all
the evidence and reports offered at said hearings, the City
Council does flnd. that:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
or the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning
Commission granting Variance No. 644 requesting permission to
install a bowling alley on the property hereinabove described
(312 North Los Angeles Street) be, and the same is hereby
disapproveo_, and the. t Variance No. 644 be, and the same is
hereby, denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is aporoved and signed by
me this 11th day of December, 1956.
