1959-5728RESOLUTTON NO o 5728 ...a.._~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPMENT OF KNOTT AVENUE a WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to improve Knott Avenue from Rain Road to south Citv Limits ; and WHEREAS, Knott Avenue is an important artery in the County of Orange and of general ounty interest9 and WHEREASs Article 2 and Article 3s Chapter 9s Division 2 of the Streets and Highways Code authorises a County, if it so des~ress to expend funds apportioned to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the improvement, construction or repair of a street within a City; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends toy by appropriate action, provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year 1960-6~, ~_a sum of money for the improtre® ment of streets within the incorporated cities of the County in ac° cordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Programo NOW, THEREFOREs BE IT RESOLVED by the Gity Council of the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim hereby requests the Board of Super® visors of the County of Orange to allocate to said City from County Funds the amount of ~8 ~oQ_0__ 0 ~_ , said' amount to be matched by funds from said Citys to be used to aid said City in the improvement of ,~yn _t_ ©v~n~er,~ from to s~,t_~ c'~3r j ~m;t~ , and for the acqu sition of necessary rights of way; said improvements and acquisition of rights of way to be in accordance with the attached project statemento BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisi° tion of rights of way on Knott Avenue s in the manner provided, is in the general County interesto BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolutions the City of Anaheim agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financ° ing Program; and further agrees that its share of the cost of improve° ments and rights of way will be available for the fiscal year 1960-61 0 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk ben and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Orange Countys California, ar~d a certified copy to the County Surveyor and Road Commissioners Court House Annex, Santa Ana, Californian THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this ?At.h day of Tlacember , 19 59 ~_ ._ r.
