A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF AN
EASEMENT TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY
FOR ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES; AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SAID GRANT OF
EASEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Southern California Edison Company has
requested authority for the right to construct, use,
ma1ntain, alter, add to, repair, replace and/or remove, 1n, on
and over the real property hereinafter described, an eleot.1c
line, consisting of poles, necessary guys and anchors, cr08S-
arms, wires and other fixtures and applianoes, and an under-
ground electric system consisting of underground conduits to-
gether with the wires therein, and neoessary appurtenances for
conveying electric energy to be used for light, heat, power,
telephone and/or other purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the granting
of such right or easement in, on and over the hereinafter
described property for the purposes above set forth will not
interfere with any other contemplated publio use of said
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that there be, and there is hereby, granted
to Southern California Edison Company. a oorporation, its
successors and assigns. the right to oonstruct, use, maintain,
alter, add to, repair, replace and/or remove, in, on, and Over
the real property hereinafter described, situated in the County
of Orange, State of California. an electric line, consisting of
poles, necessary guys and anchors, cross-arms, wires and other
fixtures and appliances, and an underground electric system
consisting of underground conduits together with the wires there-
in. and necessary appurtenanoes for conveying electric energy to
be used for light, heat, power, telephone and/or other purposes;
and the Southern California Edison Company shall have the right
to place and maintain in said underground conduits, as many wires
and necessary apDliances as it shall desire to do in the conduct
of its business. Said real property hereinabove referred to
and in, on and over which said easement is granted is deseribed
as follows:
Said electric supply line shall be installed and main-
tained upon a strip of land, 10 feet in width, lying
within that portion of the Northwest one-quarter of
Section Eight, Township Four South, Range Ten West, San
Bernardino Base and Meridian; which portion is described
in the deed to the Grantor herein recorded February 14,
1955 in Book 2958, page 243 of Official Records of Orange
County; the Southerly line of said strip is described as
follows:

Beginning at a point on the Easterly line of Brookhurst
Avenue, as now established, distant 15 teet Southerly there-
on from the Northerly line of the land described in said
deed, thence Easterly, parallel with said Northerly line.
a distance of 190 feet, to a pQint hereinafter referred to
as Point itA II , thence continuing Easterly, a distance of
50 feet.

"
Said underground conduit shall be installed and
maintained within a strip of la.nd, 6 feet in width;
the centerline of said strip shall be coincidental
with the centerline of such conduit as may be in-
stalled; the approximate centerline is described as
follows:
Beginning at said Point !lAN, thence Nortnerly,
parallel with said Easterly line of Brookhurst Ave-
nue to said Northerly line.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Southern California
Edison Company, its successors and assigns, and its employees
and agents shall at any time when necessary and at all reason-
able times have free access to said strip of land and ~ll ,portions
thereof, for the purpose of exercising the rights herein granted;
provided, however, that in making any excavation on any part of
said property of the City of Anaheim the Southern California
Edison Company sl~ll make the same in such manner as will cause
the least injury to the surface of the earth around such ex-
oavation, and shall replace the earth so removed by it in as
near the same condition as it was prior to such excavation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute a Grant
of Easement to carry out the purposes of this resolution and
to complete the granting of said easement to the Southern Calif-
ornia Edison Company.
