1960-6311RESOLUTION NO. 6311 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FINALLY ACCEPTING THE COMPLETION AND THE FURNISHING OF ALL PLANT, LABOR, SERVICES, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT AND ALL UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION INCLUDING POWER, FUEL AND WATER, AND PERFORMING ALL WORK NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT AND COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:: A RIGID FRAME FABRICATED STEEL BUILDING AT THE NORTHE ST C RNER 0 JOB NO_ 507. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation,. printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to wit: The Anaheim Gazette 9 r n the 5th and 12th da s of February 19 60 9 a notice invi ng s ealed propose s or urn s ng e foIwing: Detailed plans and specifications in accordance with and conforming in general t© preliminary plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Anaheim and on file in the Office of the City Engineer for the erection of a rigid frame, fabricated steel building 40' 0" x 145' 10" x 14' (nominal); and all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to furnish, erect and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with the detailed plans and specifications to be submitted by the bidder and conforming in general to preliminary plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City Engineer, a rigid frame, fabricated steel building at the northeast corner of Crescent Avenue and Brook hurst Street, behind Fire Station No. 2, in the City of Anaheim, including all excavation, backfill, forms, compaction and testing, grading and other material necessary for con- struction of footings, foundation and miscel- laneous concrete work, Job. No. 507. in accordance with the designs plans, profiles and specifica- tions prepared by hornton E. Piersall City Engineer and the notice inv sea proposa which said notice specified that sealed proposals as specified in said notice would be received up until 2:00 o'clock P.M. of the 18th day of Februar 7 1zial 9 and which said notice did state and declare that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the City Council of the City of Anaheim had ascertained the prevailing rate of wages for each type of labor needed to execute said contract and did set forth the prevailing hourly wage scale so ascertained, and WHEREAS, on February 18 9 1960 9 at the hour 2:00 o °clock P.M., the City Clerk and �`ity Engineer of �ln the City of Anaheim did open said seal d proposals received up to that time for the furnishing of all plant, lab r services, materials and equipment, and all utilities and transport flora,. including power fuel and water a performing all work neces- sary to construct and complete, in a goad and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with the specifications, plans and drawings therefor on fit in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, the public improv =mend, hereinabove more parti- cularly described and set forth, in public, in the City Council Chamber in the City Hal';, Anaheim, California, and the City Engineer did t:= .'bulate the- result of said sealed proposals and did make a report to the City Council at its next regular meeting; and WHEREAS, the City C unci1 of th City of Anaheim did, at its next regular meeting, held do the 23rd day of Februar 1960 at the hour of 7:00 oDclock .M., cons •er .e se= ,yed is submitted fora nishing the materials and performing the work hereinabove more particularly described and set forth, and did thereupon find and determine that the sealed proposal submitted by BUTLER MANUFACTURING COMPANY- 4014 Firestone Boulevard; South Ca ornia or the construction, insta__iation and comp e .'.on o sa: rigi• frame steel _l NE co n of Crescent and Brookhurst Job.
