A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM GRANTING SPECIAL USE PERMIT NO. 79 TO
CONSTRUCT A CHURCH ON THE PROPERTY HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive an application from the Board of Missions
and Church Extension of Southern California Arizona Annual
Conferences of the Methodist Church, 5250 Santa Monica Boulevard,
Los Angeles 29, California, for a Special Use Permit to construct
a church on the following described property situated in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to wit:
The East one-half of the West one-half of the
Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of
Section 15, in Township 4 South, Range 11 West,
in the Rancho Los Coyotes, as shown on a map
thereof recorded in Book 51, Page 11, Mis-
cellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County;
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the South 660 feet thereof;
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the West 100 feet
thereof.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said
application on August 1, 1960, notice of which said public hearing
was duly given as required by law and the provisions of Section
9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, in-
vestigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and
after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at
said hearing, did adopt its Resolution No. 38 Series 1960-61,
granting said Special Use Permit No. 79, subject to certain
conaitions set forth therein; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from the
aate of the adoption of saiu resolution, the City Council did
elect, upon its own motion, to review the action of the City
Planning Commission in granting said Special Use Permit and did
thereupon fix the 30th day ot August, 1960 as the time and the
Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the
place for a public hearing upon saia Special Use Permit, ana
notice of such public hearing was duly given as required by law
and the provisions of Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code; and

WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds, after careful con-
sideration of the recommendations of the City Planning Commission
and all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, that said
Special Use Permit should be granted upon the terms and condi-
tions hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commis-
sion granting Special Use Permit No. 79 be, and the same is
hereby sustained, and that Special Use Permit No. 79 be, and
the same is hereby granted to the Board of Missions and Church
Extension of Southern California Arizona Annual Conferences
of the Methodist Church, 5250 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles
29, California, to construct a church on the property hereinabove
described, subject to the following conditions:
1. That the property be developed in accordance
with the plans presented to the City Council
and on tile with the City of Anaheim.
2. That a strip of land 45 feet in width from
the center line of the street, along Orange
Avenue, be deeded to the City of Anaheim for
street widening purposes.
3. (a) That all engineering requirements of the
City of Anaheim, such as curbs and gutters,
sidewalks, street grading and paving, drainage
facilities, or other appurtenant worx be complied
with as required by the City Engineer and in
accordance with standard plans and specifications
on file in the Office of the City Engineer; and
(b) that a bond in an amount and form satis-
factory to the City of Anaheim be posteu with
the City to guarantee the installation of said
engineering requirements.
4 That the sum of $2.00 per rront foot be paid
to the City of Anaheim for street lighting
purposes.
5. That this Special Use Permit shall expire if
not exercised or extended within one year from
date hereof.

The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
such Special Use Permit for good cause or failure of said owner,
its successors or assigns to comply with the Anahein Municipal
Code and regulations and the conditions herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 30th day of August, 1960.
