CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:32 p.m. by Chair Barnett. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Chair Barnett led the Board in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: None 4. SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None 5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Chair Barnett presented the January 16, 2025, meeting minutes to the Board Members for changes and/or corrections. Board Member Douglas made a motion to approve the January 16, 2025, meeting minutes, seconded by Board Member Shaw; the motion was approved with seven votes in favor. Chair Barnett accepted the minutes. 6. NEW BUSINESS: FY24/25 CDBG Funding Cycle — a. Non -Profit Agency Funding Recommendations — Chair Barnett reviewed the amount of funding available and given no new funding was available, made a recommendation to proceed with funding existing non-profit agencies at the same level as in the current fiscal year. Julia Moreno added that the Housing & Community Development department will provide a list of compliance for all agencies in the near future for the Board to reference to ensure non-profit agencies are meeting their goals. After additional discussion, Chair Barnett made a motion to accept the Board's recommendations as follows: $30,917 - Access California Services $10,000 - Alzheimer's Orange County $10,000 - Anaheim Family YMCA — Youth Swim Scholarships $15,000 - Anaheim Family YMCA — Youth Sports & Fitness Scholarships $10,000 - Anaheim Family YMCA — Youth and Government Day $20,000 - Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Orange County $33,874 - Boys & Girls Club of Greater Anaheim — Cypress $33,874 - Creative Identity $12,000 - Community Legal Aid of OC $13,000 - Dayle McIntosh Center $30,000 - Meals on Wheels OC — Hot Meal Program $24,666 - Meals on Wheels OC — Home Delivered Meals $10,000 - MOMS Orange County $20,000 - YWCA North Orange County — Youth Employment Services The motion was seconded by Vice -Chair Kleine; vote was seven ayes, with Board Member Shaw recusing herself on the specific vote for Alzheimer's Orange County. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: Julia Moreno, shared information on the upcoming Youth in Government Day program hosted by the Community Services Department and scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Board Member Tagaloa shared information about an upcoming Youth Summit hosted at the TGR Learning Lab. 8. ADJOURNMENT: Chair Barnett adjourned the meeting at 5:58 p.m. and reported the next meeting is scheduled for March 13, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
