A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DENYING SPECIAL USE PERMIT NO. 76 FOR
THE OPERATION OF A TRASH TRANSFER STATION ON
THE PROPERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED.
Wi IEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
request the City Planning Commission to investigate, study and
set for public hearing the matter of the granting of a special
use permit to establish a County operated trash transfer
station on the following described property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to wit:
A. portion of the West half of the Southeast quarter
of Section 3, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San
Bernardino Base and Meridian in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, more particu-
larly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Schaffer
Oswald Subdivision, as shown on a map filed in Book
7, Page 41 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said
Orange County; thence West along the North line of
said Subdivision 785.10 feet to its intersection
with the East line of North Olive Street; thence
North along said East line of North Olive Street
667.15 feet; thence Easterly 742.05 f to the West
line of the right of way of the main line of the
Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company, in said
Section 3; thence Southerly 251.91 feet along said
right of way line which forms a curve concave
Easterly with a radius of 5764.65 feet to its inter-
section with the East line of the West half of the
Southeast quarter of said Section 3; thence South
along said East line of the West half of the South-
east quarter of said Section 3, a distance of 419.10
feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING therefrom the Southerly 346.00 feet of the
Westerly 300.00 feet thereof.
ALSO, EXCEPTING therefrom the Westerly 130.00 feet
of the Northerly 29.76 feet of the Southerly 375.92
feet thereof.
ALSO, EXCEPTING therefrom that parcel of land con-
veyed to Golden Citrus Juices Incorporated, a Cor-
poration designated as parcel 2 in Document Number
191270, recorded November 18, 1959, in Book 4977,
Page 77, Records of Orange County, California.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon
said request on June 20, 1960, notice of which said public hear-
ing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of
Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and

WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection,
investigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf
and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, did adopt its Resolution No. 280,
Series 199 -60, granting Special Use Permit No. 76, subject
to certain conditions set forth therein; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, a written appeal
was filed with the City Council of the City of Anaheim protest-
ing the action of the City Planning Commission granting said
Special Use Permit, and said appeal was set for public hearing
on July 19, 1960, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., at the City Hall in the
City of Anaheim, and notice of such public hearing was duly
given as required by law and the provisions of Section 9200.17
of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hear-
ing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did con-
sider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission,
and did close said hearing and defer action thereon until a
later date; and
S, the City Council does find that:
The characteristics of the proposed use are such
as to make impractical such use in the area where
the use is proposed to be conducted; and further,
that the use would be incompatible with uses
already established in the zone and in the locality
where such special use is proposed to be conducted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning
Commission granting Special Use Permit No. 76, be, and the same
is hereby disapproved, and that Special Use Permit No. 76 for
t.h( c ishn+ent of a County operated trash transfer station
on the property hercina.bove described, be, and the same is
hereby denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 2nd day of August, 1960.
