1961-6595RESOLUTION NO. 6595 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A DEED QUITCLAIMING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY, TOGETHER WITH APPURTENANCES, FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES. WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Anaheim is desirous of acquiring the hereinafter described real property and appurtenances for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, the owners of said property and appurtenances have offered to Quitclaim the same to the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of Anaheim to accept a Quitclaim Deed for said real property and appurtenances; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the offer of J. C. Neighbors and Helen F. Neighbors, husband and wife; C. B. Neighbors and Elizabeth M. Neighbors, husband and wife; and Interstate Engineering Corporation, a California corporation, to Quitclaim to the City of Anaheim the following described real property, together with appurtenances, situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to be used for municipal purposes, and more particularly described as follows: That portion of Lot 23 of Anaheim Extension, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map of survey made by William Hamel, and filed for record with the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, a copy of which is recorded in Book 3, Pages 163 et seq., entitled "Los Angeles County Maps," records of said Orange County, described as follows: Commencing on the South line of Broad Street, at a point 20 feet Easterly from the West line of that certain parcel of land conveyed to John H. Kirsch et ux., by deed recorded in Book 337, Page 370 of Deeds, records of said Orange County, said point of beginning being 775.96 feet, more or less, Westerly from the center line of Orange Street; thence Southerly, parallel with the said center line of Orange Street and along the Easterly line of the 20 feet strip reserved for road and ditch purposes in said deed, a distance of 50 feet; thence Easterly, parallel with the Southerly line of Broad Street, 50 feet; thence North, parallel with the center line of Orange Street, 50 feet; thence Westerly along the Southerly line of Broad Street, 50 feet to the point of beginning; TOGETHER WITH an undivided one -sixth interest in and to the pump and all equipment used in connection therewith; TOGETHER WITH one hundred per cent interest in water well meter, Sparling No. 33826; -1- be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a Quitclaim Deed for said property and appurtenances. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the owners of said real property and appurtenances, out of General Funds of the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
