A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING THE REQUEST OF DAVID S.
COLLINS FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT NO. 85.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City
of Anaheim did receive a request for a Special Use Permit from
David S. Collins, 1077 West Ball Road, Anaheim, California, to
develop a luxury type, planned unit, single family residential
development on the following described property:
All that certain real property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, described as follows:
Lots 13 and 14 of Anaheim Homestead Tract as
shown on a map recorded in Book 26, Page 10
of Miscellaneous Naps, Records of Los Angeles
County, California.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said
request on October 17, 1960, notices of which said public hear-
ing were duly given as required by law and the provisions of
Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, in-
vestigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and
after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at
said hearing, did adopt its Resolution No. 105, Series 1960 -61,
denying Special Use Permit No. 85; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty days from the date
of the adoption of said resolution, a written appeal was filed
with the City Council of the City of Anaheim protesting the
action of the City Planning Commission denying said Special Use
Permit, and said appeal was set for public hearing on November 15,
1960 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim,
and notice of such public hearing was duly given as required by
law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that this type of
development is attractive and should have a place in the community,
but that the property and area hereinabove described is not the place
for such a project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commis-
sion denying Special Use Permit No. 85 be, and the same is hereby
sustained, and that the request of David S. Collins for a Special
Use Permit to develop a luxury type, planned unit, single family

be and the same is hereby denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 15th day of November, 1960.
