1961-6811A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FINALLY ACCEPTING THE COMPLETION AND THE FURNISHING OF ALL PLANT, LABOR, SERVICES„ MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT AND ALL UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION INCLUDING POWER, FUEL AND WATER AND PERFORMING ALL WORK NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT AND COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT •N TRUCTION OF A STORM DRAIN IN BALL ROAD ROM A 1 E °i lr1 1 APPROXIMATELY 7 E PEKA SAN A RAILROA 00 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to wit The Anaheim Bulletin 9 on August 23rd and 30th 1960 a no c nvit ng sealed propose_ s or urn s ng e foTlowing: RESOLUTION NO -1- 6811 J Tfiri I SON All plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and complete in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with the specifications, plans and drawings therefor on file in the Office of the City Engineer or City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, the following public improvement, to wit: The con- struction of a reinforced, concrete pipe storm drain in BALL ROAD, from the Anaheim Barber City Channel to approximately 217 feet west of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, in the City of Anaheim, including reinforced concrete catch basins and junc- tion boxes, jacking of steel casing through the State right -of -way under the Santa Ana Freeway, and appur- tenant work, as more particularly set forth in the plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City Engineer, Job No. 5000; in accordance with the designs, plans, profiles and specifica- tions prepared by Thornton E. Piersall Cit Engineer 9 and the notice inv._ting sea.!ed propose s» which said notice specified that sealed proposals as specified in said notice would be received up until 2:00 ouclock P.M. of the 8th day of a temb 1 0 and which said notice did state declare that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the City Council of the City of Anaheim had ascertained the prevailing rate of wages for each type of labor needed to execute said contract and did set forth the prevailing hourly wage scale so ascertained; and WHEREAS, on a be 8 19 6 at the hour of 2.00 0 clock 1 the City Clerk and-City Engineer^ of the City of Anaheim did *pen sr:id sealed proposals received up to that time for the furnishing f all plant, labor°, services, materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation including power, fuel and water, anti performing all work neces- sary to construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with the specifications, plans and drawings therefor on file in th Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, the public improv: -ment her= ;inabove more parti- cularly described and set forth, in public, in the City Council Chamber in th City Hall, Anaheim, Cal.i.fornia and the City Engineer did tabulate the res of said sealed proposals and did make a report to th City Council t its next adjourned regular meeting; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did, at its next ad ourne_d 1 regular meeting, held on the th day of �Se. tember 9 19 60 9 at the hour Rf :00 ouclock .M., cons._•er e sealed proposa submitted or nishing the materials and performing the work hereinabove more particularly described and set forth, and did thereupon find and determine that the sealed proposal submitted by MARTIN F._ K ORDICK- R. KORDICK -R. E. CRANE. JOINT VENTURE and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said contractor has completed said public improvement hereinabove more particularly described in accordance with the provisions of the contract and the contract documents, and that notice of completion should be filed and payment of the balance due said contractor'authorized in accord- ance with the contract documents.
