Hello,
Throughout this past month, my staff and I have hosted several events to connect Orange County
residents with federal resources, exciting careers, and educational opportunities. As I continue to
bring your voice to our nation’s capital, I’d like to take a moment to show you what I’ve been working
on.
COMING T O G E T HER FOR A CO MMUNITY CONVE R SAT ION
This week, I led a community conversation to discuss what cuts to SNAP w ould mean for families
across our district. Thousands of our hard-working Orange County taxpayers rely on SNAP to put
food on the table and keep their families fed. I heard from community leaders directly on how these
cuts would directly hurt our seniors and directly lead to them not having food on the table. That is
unacceptable. I’m proud to be leading this effort, so that our constituent s can continue to receive the
food assistance that they need and deserve.

BRING ING OC TO DC
Last week, I met with members of the Templo Calvario Congregation in Santa Ana to discuss how we
can work together on consumer protection and fraud aimed at seniors. As t he G OP continues to make
devastating cuts to healthcare and social services, and consumer costs rise, our most vulnerable
citizens suffer. Orange County seniors are the heart of our community — In Congress, I’m committed
to protecting them and giving them the transparency they deserve.

MAKING CARE E R CO NNE CT IONS
This week, I had the opportunity to join Santa Ana College for the Orange Count y Job Fair. Attendees
had the opportunity to connect with local and regional employers across various industries. Over
1,000 attendees, 70+ employers, and 19 community organizations came together to connect our
students with employment opportunities and career guidance. High-quality, well paying jobs are the
pathway to the middle class—and I’ll keep working to provide our students w it h the resources they
need to achieve their own American dream.

connecting you to important resources. If you are experiencing any issues w it h a federal agency, my
office is here to help. Give us a call at (714) 559-6190.

Dear neighbor,
Veterans who return home with invisible wounds deserve effective treatments and
therapies. I am proud to have co-led the effort in Congress to push the U.S. Department of
Veterans Affairs (VA) to study breakthrough therapies, including psychedelics like ps iloc ybin and
MDMA, and their positive impacts on our nation’s veterans. As a co-c hair of the Ps ychedelics
Advancing Therapies (PATH) Caucus, I am committed to funding potentially life-s aving therapies
for our country’s most valiant warriors. I am happy to see the Administration is joining me and
moving ahead to support our vets.
I am proud to have pushed for legislative progress for our nation’s veterans. As we
consider this topic in Congress, I want to hear from you.

Subject:[EXTERNAL] Fighting for our Immigrant Neighbors

FIGHT ING FO R OUR IMMIGRANT NE IGHBOR S
This week, I joined my colleagues during a House Judiciary Committee markup on this
Administration’s budget priorities, specifically on immigration I offered two amendm ents to protect
our immigrant neighbors. The first amendment would stand by immigrant veterans who have
served our nation and been honorably discharged, requesting that ICE consider their
contributions to freedom before issuing deportation orders against them . The second would
ensure that funding for ICE cannot be used to support raids in our public s c hools. Jus t last
month, DHS agents showed up at a Los Angeles elementary school to c onduc t a “health c hec k”
on some students—without parental authorization and without a warrant. Our children des erve to
feel safe at school, not under surveillance. I’m disappointed that none of m y colleagues on the
other side of the aisle voted in favor of my amendments. Our children and veterans des erve to
feel safe—and I’ll continue fighting in Congress to protect them from indis c riminate and
aggressive actions taken by this Administration.
Rep. Correa proposes amendments at House Judiciary markup
HONORING 50 Y E ARS SINCE BLACK APRIL
I also took to the House Floor to recognize the 50th anniversary of Blac k April--a day to lament
and reflect on the Fall of Saigon and the end of democracy in Vietnam. Families fled their homes
in search of freedom—and many found it right here in Orange County. I grew up alongside
Vietnamese Americans who arrived with nothing and built strong, vibrant lives . Today, our dis tric t
is home to the largest Vietnamese community outside Vietnam, and they are a vital part of who
we are. I’m proud to recognize the resiliency of the Vietnamese people and will never stop
honoring the American-Vietnamese contribution to our country. You can watc h my remarks on
the House floor HERE.
