A RESOLUTION OF THE Cln COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEOOING RECEIPT OF A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERUIN UNINHABITED
TERRITOR! TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DESIGNATING
THE TERRITOR! AS THE
SOUTHEAST
ANNEXATION, DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIEs OF THE
TERRITOR! PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED A1ID GIVING
NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOl:JR A1ID PLACE WHERE AND
WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERn WITHIN
SUCH TERRITOR! SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY
APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AnD SHOW CAUSE
WHY SUCH TERRITOR! SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Counoil of the City gt Anaheim did
on the 11th day of September , 19~, receive a

said petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim, aDi
WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the pro-
posal for the annexation of the territory hereinafter deecribed
to the City of Anaheim was 8Ulaitted to the Boundary Coaission
ot the County of Orange, State of California, aDi reported upon
by said Boundary COJlIIIl.ission with respect to the de1'1miteu88 aDi
oerta1mt,. of the proposed boundaries, and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated 1m the Count,. of Orange, State of
California, and is cont1guous to the Ci t,. of Anaheim and is un-
inhabited territory, and said petition contained a description
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter 1m this
Re.olution described, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and re-
ports received that at the time of the filing and receipt of said
petition, it was and now is signed by owners of not less than one-
fourth ("f) of the land in the territory by area and by assessed
value in the territory proposed to be annexed, according to the
last preceding equalized county assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds frOll. evidence a.nd re-
ports received a.nd .from said petition that at the time of the
filing and presentation of said petition that said new territory
proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim "did not form a
part of any munioipal corporation and that said territory was un-
inhabited aDi is contiguous to the City of AnaheimJ and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and
evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory
so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows,

Southeast Annexation
~ --
A parcel of land being a portion of the wt of the NWt of Section 24,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M. located in the County of Orange,
State of California, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing Anaheim City Limits line a~ establisned
by the Placentia-Ball Annexation to the City of Anaheim, said annexation being
passed by Ordinance No. 1018 on August 27, 1955, and filed with the Secretary
of State on September 28, 1955, said point being 30 feet southerly, as measured
at right angles, from the Northerly line of said Section 24 and 30 feet easterly
as measured at right angles from the Westerly line of said Section 24; thence,

Easterly 630 feet, more or less, along a line parallel with and 30 feet
the northerly line of said Section 24 to a point, said point being in the
line of the NWt of the NWt of the NWt of said Section 24; thence,
2. Southerly 630 feet, more or less, along the said last mentioned easterly
line to the southerly line of the Nt of the NWt of the NWt; thence,
3. Easterly 660 feet, more or less, along said southerly line to a point,
said point being in the easterly line of the wt of the NWt of said Section 24;
thence,
4. Southerly along said last mentioned easterly line to a point in the
northerly line of the Southern Pacific Railway Company's right-of-way (50 feet
in width), said point being 70 feet more or less north of the southerly line of the
NWt of said Section 24; thence,
5. Southwesterly 190 feet, more or less, along said northerly line of said
right-of-way to a point, said point being 20 feet north of the southerly line of
the NWt of said Section 24; thence,
6. Westerly 1100 feet, more or less, along a line 20 feet north of and
parallel with the said southerly line of the NWt of said Section 24 to a point 30
feet easterly and 20 feet northerly of the Wi corner of said Section 24, said
point being in the existing Anaheim City Limits line; thence,
7. Northerly along said existing Anaheim City Limits line, said line being
30 feet east of and parallel with the Westerly line of said Section 24 to the
point of beginning.

That such proposed annexation be designated as
SOUTHEAST ANNEXATION and that notice of such pro...
posed annexation be hereby given as hereinafter provided. '

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be
had upon the date set, not less than forty (40) nor more than
sixty (60) days after the passage of this Resolution, unless the.
ovner or ovners of all of the territory to be annexed have
petitioned for annexation or filed their consents to such annex~
ation, in writing, with the City Council, in which event the
hearing shall be set not less than fifteen (15) days nor more
than sixty (60) days after the passage of this Resolution.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the2Jrd day of October,
19...i2-, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.M. , at the City Council
Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim be, and the same
is hereby, fixed as the day, hour and place when and where the
City Council will hear protests made by any ovner or owners of
real property wi thin the territory proposed to be annexed; and that
at any time before the hour set for hearing objections, any owner
of property within said territory may file with the City Clerk a
written protest against the annexation. Said protest shall be in
writing and shall state the name of the owner of the property .
affected and the description and area of the property in general
terms.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is
hereby, authorized and direoted to oause a copy of this Resolution
to be published at least twice, but not oftener than onoe a week,
in a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City, to
wit: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange County, California, .
and also in a newspaper of general oirculation, published outside
of the City, but in the County of Orange, in which is looated the
teni tory hereinabove ~oposed to be annexed to the City of
Anaheim, to wit: THE P1ACENTIA COURIER ; and that
suoh publication shall be oompleted at least twenty (20) days
prior to the date of hearing hereinabove speoified.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and direoted
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed.
to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll
available, on the date the prooeedings were initiated, at the '
address shown on said assessment roll or as known to said C1 ty
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in whioh he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk; and in the event tbatland
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of .
Anaheim is owed by a County, the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim shall also cause written notioe of such proposed annex-
ation to be mailed to the Board of SUpervisors of suoh County.
The foregoing notices shall be given not less than twenty (20)
days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
