A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND
ABANDONMENT OF THE SOUTHERLY 12 FEET OF A
PORTION OF A STREET COMMONLY KNOWN AS HOUSTON
STREET AND AN EASEMENT FOR STREET PURPOSES
UPON, OVER, ACROSS AND ALONG THE HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Anaheim, a
municipal corporation of the State of California, did on the
9th day of May, 1961, pass its Resolution No. 6900, entitled
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DE-
CLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON THE SOUTHERLY 12
FEET OF A PORTION OF A STREET COMMONLY KNOWN AS HOUSTON STREET
AND AN EASEMENT FOR STREET PURPOSES UPON, OVER, ACROSS, AND
ALONG THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY; FIXING A TIME
AND PLACE FOR A HEARING THEREON; DIRECTING THE POSTING OF
NOTICES THEREOF AND THE PUBLICATION OF THIS RESOLUTION," where-
by it declared its intention to vacate and abandon and close to
public use the southerly 12 feet of a portion of a street com-
monly known as Houston Street and an easement for street purposes
upon, over, across and along the hereinafter described property
under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941; and
WHEREAS, the City Council in said Resolution referred
to a map on file in the Office of the City Clerk for further
particulars as to the proposed vacation, abandonment and clos-
ing to public use of said southerly portion of said portion of
Houston Street and easement for street purposes; and
WHEREAS, said City Council did by said Resolution fix
the 31st day of May, 1961, at 3:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the time and
place for a public hearing on the matter of such vacation,
abandonment and closing to public use of said southerly portion
of said portion of Houston Street and easement for street pur-
poses, for all persons interested in or objecting to such pro-
posed vacation, abandonment and closing to public use to
appear and show cause, if any they had, why such southerly
portion of said portion of street and easement for street pur-
poses should not be vacated, abandoned and closed to public
use; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was published on the 18th
day of May, 1961, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of
Anaheim, Orange County, California; and
WHEREAS, by said Resolution said City Council directed
that notices of the passage of said Resolution and of the time
and place of the hearing on the matter of the vacation, abandon-
ment and closing to public use of said southerly portion of said
portion of street and easement for street purposes be posted
conspicuously along the line of said portion of street and ease-
ment proposed to be vacated, not more than 300 feet apart, at
least ten (10) days before said hearing, and that not less than
three (3) such notices should be posted; and

WHEREAS, Donald R. O'Donnell did on the 17th day of
May, 1961, post conspicuously three (3) such notices along the
line of said portion of street and easement, which notices
were posted not more than 300 feet apart, and were posted at
least ten (10) days before said hearing; and
WHEREAS, said City Council did on the 31st day of May,
1961, at 3:00 o'clock P.M., at said City Hall, conduct a public
hearing on the matter of whether said southerly portion of said
portion of Houston Street and easement for street purposes,
hereinafter described, should be vacated, abandoned and closed
to public use, and at said hearing did hear evidence thereon;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from all the evidence
submitted that said southerly portion of said portion of Houston
Street and easement for street purposes described in the Resolu-
tion of Intention and hereinafter described, are unnecessary
for present or prospective street purposes, and that an order
vacating such southerly portion of said portion of street and
easement for street purposes as described in the Resolution of
Intention should be made by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
the City of Anaheim:
1. That it finds the
in this Resolution to be true;
RESOLVED by the City Council of
recitals hereinabove set forth
2. That it finds from all the evidence submitted
that said southerly 12 feet of said portion of Houston Street
and easement for street purposes described in said Resolution
are unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes;
3. That it does hereby order that said southerly
portion of said portion of Houston Street and said easement
for street purposes be, and they are hereby, vacated, abandoned
and closed to public use;
4. That the said southerly portion of said portion
of street and easement for street purposes herein ordered
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use are those described
in said Resolution No. 6900, are situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, and are more particularly
described as follows:
The Southerly twelve (12) feet of that portion
of that certain street commonly known as Houston
Street, 40.00 feet wide, lying Westerly of the
following described line:
Beginning at the center line intersection of Houston
Street and Buckingham Street, as said center line
intersection is shown on a Map of Tract No. 2358,
as shown on a Map recorded in Book 77, Page 28 of
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California; thence North 0 38' 36" West along
the center line of said Buckingham Street 45.07
feet to a point; thence South 89 21' 24" West
30.00 feet to the beginning of a curve concave

ATTEST:
Northwesterly and having a radius of 15.00 feet
and tangent to a line parallel with and 30.00 feet
Westerly of the center line of said Buckingham
Street; thence Southerly along said curve through
a central angle of 21 00' 45 and a length of
5.50 feet to the true point of beginning, said
true point of beginning being also a point of
reverse curvature with a curve having a radius
of 55 feet, concave Northeasterly, a radial line
through which point bears South 69 37' 51" East;
thence Southerly along said curve through a
central angle of 67 34' 45" and a length of
64.87 feet to a point in the Southerly line of
said Houston Street.
EXCEPTING therefrom that portion thereof lying
Westerly of the following described line:
Beginning at a point in said center line of
Houston Street South 89 26' 5O" West 113.12
feet from said center line intersection of
Houston Street and Buckingham Street; thence
South 0 33' 10" East 20.00 feet to the
Southerly line of said Houston Street.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified
copy of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the
seal of the City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of
the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
