,iHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation,
~)rinted, published ancl circulated in the City of Anaheim, to .dt:
The Anaheim Bulletin, on the 14th and 21st days of August, 1956

All plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, and
all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel
ana water, and performing all work necessary to construct
and complete in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with the specifications, plans and drawings
therefor on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim, the following public improvement, to wit:
The Forest-Louise Sewer Extension from 214' West of Louise
Drive on Forest La.ne to 90' South of Romneya Drive on
Louise Drive, consisting of the construction of 81t V.C.P.
sewer laterals including excavation, backfill and flooding,
construction of 4" V.C.P. house connections including
excavation, bac_~fill and floocUng, standard 41 I. D. brick
manhtlles, resurfacing, removing existing standard cleanout,
and appurtenant work as indicated on the plans -- Job No.1071.

WHEREAS, the City Council did thereupon refer said bids to
the City Engineer for examination, tabulation
and report to the Oity Oouncil, and said Engineer
dld examine and tabulate said sealed proposals and did report to the
Oouncil the result of his examination and tabulation; and
WHEREAS, the City Oounoil finds that the sealed proposal sub-
mitted by Plumbing Oontractors,Inc., Sanitary Division, 11662 East
Westminster, Garden Grove. California
i8 the lowest responsible proposal submitted for the furnishing of all
plant, labor, services. materials and equipment, all utilities and
transportation, including power, fuel and water and performing all work
necessary to construct and complete in a good and workmanlike manner
in strict accordance with the specif1,cations, plans and drawings
therefor on file in the office of the City Olerk of the Oi ty of Ana-
heim of the public improvement hereinabove mentioned and desoribed,
together with the appurtenanoes thereto, and as speoified in the
notioe inviting sealed proposals, and tr~t said proposal of said
above named bidder should be accepted and a contraot awarded to said
bidder in accordance therewith; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the above mentioned
sealed proposal is the lowest responsible proposal received and that
the person, firm or corporation submitting said proposal is a
responsible person, firm or corporation and that the proposal sub-
mitted is the best suited and fitted for the public improvement to
be oonstructed.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, that the sealed proposal submitted by
PlwwbinR Contractors. Inc.. Sanitary Division, 11662 East
Westminster. Garden Grove, California
for the furnishing of all 'plant , labor, services, materials and
equipment, all utilities and transportation, inoluding power, fuel
and water and performing all work necessary to oonstruot and oomplete
in a good and workmanlike manner. in strict accordance with the
speoifications, plans, and drawings therefor on file in the office
ot the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim and the notioe inviting
sealed proposals, the public works and improvements hereinabove more
partioularly mentioned and described, together with the appurtenanoes
thereto, be, and the same is hereby, accepted, and that a contraot
for the construction and completion of said public improvement be,
and the same is hereby, awarded to the said above named bidder.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the suocessful bidder or
bidders upon each contract awarded as hereinabove set forth shall
be, and they are hereby reqUired to exeoute a contract in the required

form with the City of Anaheim upon the terms and oonditions speoified
in the notioe inviting sealed proposals and the proposal 8~bm1tted
b~ 8aid suooessful bidder or bidders and in aooordanoe with the plans
and speoifioations for said pUblic improvement hereinabove desoribed
and in aooordanoe with the terms, conditions and provisions of this
resolution, and that said suocessful bidder or bidders to whom eaoh
oontract is awarded shall be required to furnish a surety bond in an
amount equal to one hundred per cent (100%) of the oontraot prioe for
all labor, materials and equ1pment to be furnished and performed as
set forth in the sealed proposals submitted by said bidder for the
oonstruotion of said pUblio improvement together with the appurtenances
thereto or suoh portion thereof as is covered by said oontraot as
seourity for the faithful performance of said contraot and a separate
surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred per oent (100%) of the
construc~on cost of said pUblio improvement covered by said oontraot
as seourity for the payment of all persons perform1ng labor and furn-
ishing material for said proJeot.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said sucoessful bidder or
b1dders be, and they are hereby required to furnish to the Oit, of
Anaheim in oompanies satisfactory to the Oity ot Anaheim publio
llabl1lty, property damage, oompensation, and other insuranoe in
the amounts and for the purposes as set forth and speoified in the
notioe inviting sealed proposals and subJeot to the approval of the
Cit7 Attorney as to form and suffioienoy.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim be, and they are hereby, authorized and direoted
to make, exeoute and enter into for and on behalf of the City of Ana-
he1Jll a written oontract with said successful bidder or bidders for the
furnishing of all plant, labor, materials, and equipment and performing
all work as hereinabove more particularly desoribed for the oonstr~c-
tion, installation and completion of said public improvement herein-
above desoribed upon the terms and conditions as speoified in the
not1oe inviting sealed proposals, the detailed design, plans, protiles,
drawings and general specifications and detailed specifications and
drawings and all addenda thereto and all modifications incorporated
therein prior to the date of the opening of bids, on file in the office
of the Oity Clerk of the City of Anaheim and in striot accordanoe with
the terms, conditions and provisions of this Resolution, and in accord-
anoe with all the contract documents herein specified.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this
