A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT TITLE 18 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO ZONING SHOULD BE AMENDED
AND THAT THE BOUNDARIES OF CERTAIN ZONES
SHOULD BE. CHANGED.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did hold public hearings in Reclassification Proceedings
No.1 60- 61 -83, to consider an amendment to Title 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code relating to zoning and to consider a change in the
boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and de-
scribed, and at said hearings did receive evidence and reports
from persons interested therein and from its staff; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty days following said
hearings thereon, the Planning Commission did duly adopt resolu-
tions containing reports of its findings, summaries of the evi-
dence presented at said hearings and recommendations that the
proposed amendment be adopted by the City Council and that cer-
tain zone or zones be changed as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolutions, summaries
of evidence, reports of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 2nd day of May,
1961, as the time, and the City Council Chambers in the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim as the place for a public hearing
upon said proposed amendment to Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code, and the exclusion of said property, hereinafter described,
from the zone in which it is now situated and the incorporation
thereof in the zone hereinafter set forth; and did give notice
thereof in the manner and form as provided in said Title 18
of said Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did hold and conduct such public hear-
ing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did there-
upon consider the summary of evidence presented at said public
hearing before the Planning Commission, its reportsof findings,
and recommendations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
the amendment to Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code should
be adopted and that the property hereinafter described should
be excluded from the zone or zones in which it is now situated,
and incorporated in the zone or zones as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
be, and the same is hereby amended, and that the following de-
scribed property, situated in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, to wit:

PARCEL 1.
That portion of the Northwest Quarter of the North-
west Quarter of Section 19, Township 4 South, Range
10 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes as shown on a
map recorded in book 51, page 10, Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point in the northerly line of said
Northwest Quarter, distant thereon North 89° 14' 54"
East 200 feet from the northwest corner thereof;
thence South 0° 38' 40" East parallel with the westerly
line of said Northwest Quarter 200 feet; thence South
89° 14' 54,E West parallel with said northerly line
200 feet to said westerly line; thence South 0° 38' 40"
East 220.56 feet; thence North 89° 14' 54" East parallel
with said northerly line 572.84 feet; thence North
0° 38' 40" West 420.56 feet to a point in the northerly
line of said Northwest Quarter; thence South 89° 114) 54"
West 372.84 feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion located at the Southeast
corner of Ball Road and Magnolia Avenue 150' x 150',
PARCEL 2.
That portion of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest
quarter of Section 19, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
in the Rancho Los Coyotes, as said Section is shown on
a map recorded in Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous
Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said
County, and that portion of Lot 17 of the P.A. Stanton
Tract, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 5, pages
23 and 24 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Westerly line of said
Northwest quarter distant thereon South 0° 38' 40"
East, 441.50 feet from the Northwest corner thereof;
thence North 89° 14' 54" East 572.84 feet to the West
lint of Lot 14 in said P. A. Stanton Tract; thence
South 0 38' 40" East 345.00 feet along the West line
of Lots 14 and 15 in said P.A. Stanton Tract; thence
South 89° 14' 54" West 572.84 feet to the West line
of said section;,thence North 0 38' 40" West 345.00
feet to the point of beginning;
be excluded from the R-A, RESIDENTIAL- AGRICULTURAL ZONE, and
incorporated in the C -1, NEIGHBORHOOD- OOMMERCIAL ZONE, subject
to the following conditions which shall apply to Parcel 2 only:
1. That said Parcel 2 shall be developed substantially
in accordance with the plans presented to the City
Council and on file with the City of Anaheim, EXCEPT
that there shall be eliminated therefrom the proposed
development of a cocktail lounge.
2. That the owner of said parcel deed to the City of
Anaheim a strip of land 53 feet in width, from the
center line of the street, along Magnolia Avenue
for street widening purposes.

That the owner of said Parcel 2 pay to the City of
Anaheim the sum of $2.00 per front foot for street
lighting purposes.
5. That the owner of subject property deed to the City
of Anaheim easements for public utility purposes,
along the exterior boundaries of Parcel No. 2, as
determined and required by the Utilities Director
of the City of Anaheim.
6. That Conditions Nos. 2, 3(b), 4 and 5, above mentioned,
be complied with within a period of 90 days from date
hereof, or such further time as the City Council
may grant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and
he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and submit to
the City Council an ordinance amending Title 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code to accomplish the objects herein found and de-
termined to be necessary and proper.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 2nd day of May, 1961.
3. (a) That sidewalks be installed as required by the
City Engineer and in accordance with standard plans
and specifications on file in the office of the City
Engineer; and (b) that a bond in an amount and form
satisfactory to the City of Anaheim be posted with
the City to guarantee the installation of said
sidewalks.
