A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A SEALED PROPOSAL AND
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE Lm'J'EST RESPONSIBLE
BIDDER FOE. THJ:~ FURlHSHING OF LIQUID CHLORINE
TO TilE ORA?JGE COUNTY JOINT OUTFALL SEWER
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim,
as contractin,,; agent fOl' the Oran€;e County Joint Outfall
Sewer, did cause to be published in a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, )ublished and. circu.lated in the City
of Anaheim, to wit: the Anaheim Bulletin, on the 12th and
18th days of' July, 1956, a notice inviting sealed proposals
for ';;h8 furnishin.. to the Oran~;e County Joint Outfall Sewer
of t':.eCOllo";in, 8)proximate quantities of liquid chlorine:
An estimated quantity of 400,000 to 600,000
pounds of liquid chlorine of corumercial
que.li ty, supplied in containers of 2,000-
pound capacity, net vleight. Shipment of
full cylinders and. return of empty cylinders
to be prepaid by biuder to any location re-
quested by the buyer. A list of these loca-
tions and past usage of chlorine is available
at the Office of the Orange County Joint
Outfall Sewer, 719 S. Loara street, Anaheim,
or the office of the; City Clerk in the City
Hall, Anaheim, California.
AND dHEREAS, sale notice did provide that all
bidders were requested to visit all of the sites to be sup-
plied anlt to al'ran,~e for inspection of biO.der1s facilities
by buyer; and
h'HEREAS, said. notice did further provide that the
contract to be awarded snaIl be for a period of one (1) year
fro];l date of contl'act, and all deliver'ies of chlorine shall
be in accordance with specifications therefor on file in the
Office of the Oity Clerk of the City of Anaheim and the
Office of the Orang-e County Joint Outfall Sewer at 719 S.
Loara Street, Anaheim, Califorrlia; and

of the City of Anaheim, as con tractine;; agent for the Orange
County Joint Outfall Sewer, that said proposal submitted by
Braun Corporation, 1363 S. Bonnie Beach Place, Los Angeles
54, California, for the furnishing of liquid chlorine as
specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals and in
accordance with the specifications therefor on file in the
Office of the Ci t:/ Clerk of the City of Anaheim and the
Office of the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer, Anaheim,
Califor~lia, be, an6~ the same is, hereby accepted, and that
a contract for the furnishing of said liquid chlorine be,
ancl the same is, hereby awarded to said Braun Corporation; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the award of said con-

imate quantities as set forth in the notice invitinc sealed

Joint Outfall Sewer, with Braun Corporation, a written
contract for the furnishing of said liquid chlorine in

vitinG sealeQ proposals, the terms of this resolution, and the
