A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CI TY OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT A CE:ANGE OF ZONE
SHOULD NOT BE GRANTED IN CERTAIN
AREAS OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim has heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution
deolaring its intention to ohange the boundaries of the zone
or zones hereinafter mentioned and desoribed and did fix a
time and place for the holding of a publio hearing thereon in
the manner and as prescribed in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code, and did duly hold and conduct a publio
hearing to consider such proposed change of zone or zones and
did receive evidence and reports from persons interested
therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40 days following
the hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announoe
by formal resolution its findings of facts and declare its
opinions and reasons for recommending an amendment to said
Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Munioipal Code to effect
the proposed ohanges of the boundaries of the zone hereinafter
mentioned and desoribed; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and reoommendation
of the City planning Oommission, the City Council did thereupon
fix the 19th day of June, 1956, as the time and the Counoil
Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place
for a publio hearing upon said proposed change of zone and did
give notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said
Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Munioipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and oonduct suoh pUblic
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did reoeive evidence and reports, and did there-
upon consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission
and did continue said hearing until July 10, 1956; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
the property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in
which it is now situated to a different zone as he~lnafter set
forth is more suitable for the zone in which it is now incorp-
orated and that a change of zone should not be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all of the property and~ea situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows, to wit:

Lots 1 and 2 of Block 17. Fairview Colony Tract,
as per map reoorded in Book 1, page JJ, Miscel-
laneous Maps of Orange County, California. Said
property is looated on the West side of Ninth
Street, approximately 1337 feet South of Cerritos
Avenue and consists of a 20-acre parcel.
remain in the R-A, RESIDENTIAL-AGRICULTURAL ZONE, in which it
is now incorporated, and that the reclassification to R-3,

MULTIFPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE, as recommended by the
City Planning Commission in its Resolution No. 198 - Series
1955-56, be denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 10th day of July, 1956.
