A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE AXEPTANCE OF A RIGHT OF WAY EASEMENT
OVER AND ACROSS CERTAIN PROPERTY HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED FOR ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION LINES.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is desirous of purchasing
the hereinafter described property for municipal purposes, to
wit: Permanent easements and rights of way for the construction
and maintenance of electric transmission lines; and
WHEREAS, Orange County Water District, owner of said
property, has offered to grant to the City of Anaheim for the
sum of $100.00 cash, lawful money of the United States,
permanent easements and rights of way over and across said
property to construct, reconstruct, maintain, operate, enlarge,
improve, relocate, remove, repair and renew, at any time and
from time to time, electric transmission lines and /or wires
and cables, and has submitted to the City of Anaheim a Right
of Way Easement to be accepted by the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the price for
which said owner has offered to sell said property is fair and
reasonable and that it would be to the advantage and for the
best interest of the City to purchase said property upon the
terms and conditions set forth in said Right of Way Easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Right of Way Easement this day
submitted to the City Council by the Orange County Water Dis-
trict granting to the City of Anaheim, its successors and
assigns, those permanent easements and rights of way to
construct, reconstruct, maintain, operate, enlarge, improve,
relocate, remove, repair and renew, at any time and from time
to time, electric transmission lines and /or wires and cables,
in an overhead crossing over and above a strip of land twenty
feet in width, lying within and extending over and across that
certain real property in the County of Orange, State of
California described as follows:
All that certain land situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as
follows:
An easement for poles and overhead electric power
lines over and across a strip of land 20.00 feet
in width, the Easterly line of said strip being
described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 1 of the
Orange Grove Acres, as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 6, Page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California; thence South 3 49' East

along the Southerly prolongation of the Westerly
line of said Lot 1 a distance of 1890 feet, more
or less to a point of intersection with the North
line of Lot 10 of the J. D. Taylor Tract, as shown
on a Map recorded in Book 36, Pages 58, 59 and 60
of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California,
lying within the following described parcels of land:
Parcel One: A portion of Lot 33 of Orange Grove
Acres No. 2, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 7,
Page 36 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California, more particularly described as
follows: Beginning at a point in the East line of
Lot 22 of said Orange Grove Acres No. 2, 200.81
feet North 3 47' 08" West from the Southeast corner
of said Lot 22, and running from said point of be-
ginning North 68 58' 47" East 289.89 feet to the
center line of the right of way of the Atchison,
Togeka and Santa Fe Railway Company; thence South
15 58' 47" West along said center line 308.44 feet;
thence South 85 10' 47" East 424.27 feet to the
East Line of said Lot 33; thence South 3 46' 53"
East along said East line 213.52 feet to the South-
east corner of said Lot 33; thence South 70 04' 22"
West along the South line of said Lot 33, 620.70
feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot 33; thence
North 3 47' 08" West along the West line of said
Lot 33, 582.47 feet to the point of beginning.
Parcel Two: Commencing at the Southeast corner of
the Tract, as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 12, Pages 87 and 88 of Miscellaneous Records
of Los Angeles County, California, said corner
being 19.54 chains South 4k East from a sycamore
tree on the Eastern Boundary of the Rancho San Juan
Cajon de Santa Ana, and referred to in the Patent of
said Rancho recorded in Book 2, Page 243 of Patents;
thence South 70 West 6193.44 feet to the Southern
corner of said Kraemer Tract; thence South 61 East
702.9 feet to the Northwesterly boundary of the
Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana; thence North 36 East
648.45 feet to Station 61 of the Rancho Santiago de
Santa Ana; thence North 74 East 3300 feet to Station
60 of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana; thence North
873/4 East along the Northerly boundary of the Rancho
Santhgo de Santa Ana 1740 feet, more or less, to the
Southeast corner of the Rancho San Juan Cajon de
Santa Ana; thence North 4 30' West 950 feet, more
or less, to the point of beginning.
Parcel Three: Beginning at a point in the Northerly
line of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, said point
being the Northeast corner of a parcel of land con-
veyed by Martin P. Hamrick to the Orange County Water
District by a deed recorded March 23, 1940 in Book
1034, Page 398 of Official Records of Orange County,

California, and running from said point of beginning
North 87 55' 30" East along said Northerly line
of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, 1587.09 feet;
thence South 75 57' 10" West 51.67 feet to a point
in the Northerly line of Lot 7 of the J. D. Taylor
Tract, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 36, Pages
58, 59 and 60 of Miscellaneous Records of Los
Angeles County, California; thence along the
Northerly line of Lots 7, 8, 9 and 10 in said J.D.
Taylor Tract, South 85 03' West 207.19 feet, South
77 40' West 372.50 feet and South 73 07' West
900.00 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 10 of
said J. D. Taylor Tract, and to the East line of
said parcel of land conveyed by Martin P. Hamrick;
thence North 18 23' 40" West along said East line,
330.80 feet to the point of beginning,
upon the terms and conditions and for the sum set forth in
said Right of Way Easement, namely, $100.00 cash, lawful
money of the United States, be, and the same is hereby
accepted, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are
hereby authorized to accept a conveyanc -e of said property for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owner of said real property the sum of $100.00,_ cash, lawful
money of the United States.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 23rd day of January, 1962.
