1961-7398Total acreage Acres in Anaheim Acres in Orange RESOLUTION NO. 7398 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF ANAHEIM AND ORANGE FOR THE CON- STRUCTION, ACQUISITION AND OPERATION OF A SEWER SYSTEM. 1,875 acres, more or less 1,525 acres, more or less 350 acres, more or less Finance Dir Engr Dept WHEREAS, construction plans for a sewer, known as the Santa Ana Canyon Sewer, between the Cities of Anaheim and Orange have been completed. The anticipated estimate of cost, exclusive of the acquisition of right of way, amounts to One Hundred, Seventeen Thousand Dollars ($117,000.00); and WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim and Orange are in agreement that the development of the Santa Ana Canyon Sewer will be of benefit to each of the cities involved, and it is the desire of each city to establish an equitable apportion- ment of the costs of both construction and acquisition of right of way; and WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim and Orange have each accepted an estimate of the acreage served by the sewer system to be as follows: and have agreed to apportion the cost of the project upon the basis of the estimated acres served in the respective commun- ities and have established such apportionment as follows: City of Anaheim 80 per cent thereof City of Orange 20 per cent thereof AND WHEREAS, said Cities further desire that the sewer capacity allotted to each shall be in direct proportion to the acreage served by the sewer system eighty per cent (80 of the capacity of the sewer system to be allocated to Anaheim and twenty per cent (20 to be allocated to Orange; and WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim and Orange desire to enter into an agreement for the purpose of construction, acquiring and operating a sewer system and appurtenances thereto serving each of said cities; and WHEREAS, the City ef_Orange has this day submitted to the City of Anaheim a form of agreement to be made and entered into by and between said cities for the construction of said sewer system, which agreement the City Council finds would be for the benefit and best interest of the City and should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the agreement this day submitted to the City Council, dated October 10, 1961, to be made and entered into by and between the City of Anaheim and the City of Orange for the purpose of construction, acquiring and operating a joint project, to wit: A sewer system and appurtenances thereto
