A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF, AND
ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED CONVEYING TO THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR AN
EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for road and public
utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have offered
to sell and convey the same to the City for the sum of $9,750.00
cash, lawful money of the United States; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property, and
that the price which the owners thereof are willing to accept
is fair and reasonle.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of B. H. PRENTISS and
GLADYS FERN PRENTISS, husband and wife, to sell to the City
of Anaheim the following described real property situated in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to
be used for an easement for road and public utility purposes,
and more particularly described as follows:

An easement for road and public utility purposes over,
under and across that portion of Lot )2 of Hazard's
Subdivision, as shown on a Map filed in Book 1, page 26
of Licensed Surveys, records of Orange County, California,
lying parallel with and 45.00 feet Northerly of the
following described line:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Lot L.2 of
Hazard's Subdivision, as shown on a Map filed in Book 1,
page 26 of Licensed Surveys, records of Orange County,
California; thence 197.12 feet North 3 35* West along
the West line of said Lot 42 to the true point of beginning;
thence along a line 73.16 feet North 73° 55' East to
the beginning of a tangent curve concave Southeasterly
and having a radius of 1000 feet; thence Northeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 16 03' 00"
an arc distance of 280.12 feet to the intersection with
the South line of that parcel of land conveyed to B. H.
Prentiss and Gladys Fern Prentiss, husband and wife,
by deed recorded April 13, 19L13 in Book 1188, page 175
of Official Records; thence Easterly along the Southerly
line of the land conveyed to said B. H. Prentiss and
Gladys Fern Prentiss, husband and wife, to the point of
termination of the line described herein, said point of
termination being the Southeast corner of the land
conveyed to said B. H. Prentiss and wife.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a conveyance
of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owners of said real property the sum of $9,750.00.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 20th day of March, 1962.
