A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING THE
PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID FOR EACH
CRAFT, OR TYPE OF WORKMAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED
FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS FOR THE FURNISHING
OF ALL MATERIALS, PLANT, LABOR AND SERVICES
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A
POLICE FACILITIES BUILDING OF CONCRETE AND MASONRY,
LOCATED AT HARBOR BOULEVARD AND SANTA ANA STREET,
ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, WORK ORDER NO. 4600.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
does find and determine that public convenience and necessity
require the acquisition of materials, plant, labor and ser-
vices fora.public improvement consisting of the construction
and completion of a Police Facilities Building of concrete
and masonry, located at Harbor Boulevard and Santa Ana Street,
Anaheim, California, Work Order No. 4600; and
WHEREAS, Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State
of California requires that the City Council ascertain and
determine the general prevailing rate of hourly wages and
rates for legal holidays and overtime work on public works and
improvements in the locality in which the work is to be per
formed, for each craft or type of workman, laborer or mechanic
needed for the execution of such public contracts and the
making of such public improvements, and for the furnishing of
all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment and per-
forming all work necessary for the execution and completion
of such public contracts or improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that, in accordance with the provisions
of Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of California,
the City Council has ascertained and does hereby determine the
general prevailing rate of hourly wages and rates for legal
holidays and overtime work on public works, and the public
improvement consisting of the construction and completion of
a Police Facilities Building of concrete and masonry, located
at Harbor Boulevard and Santa Ana Street, Anaheim, California,
Work Order No. 4600, in the locality in which such work is to
be performed, and each craft or type of laborer, workman or
mechanic needed for the execution of public works contracts
for furnishing all plant, materials, labor, services and equip-
ment for the public improvement consisting of the construction
and completion of a Police Facilities Building of concrete and
masonry, located at Harbor Boulevard and Santa Ana Street,
Anaheim, California, Work Order No. 4600, and that said pre-
vailing rates so determined are as follows:

Plus fringe labor costs as set forth in the Southern California
Master Labor Agreement of June, 1961.
Health, Welfare, Vacation and Overtime payments shall be made in
accordance with the Southern California Master Labor Agreement.
All foremen, unless separately classified, shall be
paid as provided in the June, 1961, revision of the A.G.C.,
B.C.A., H.B.1., A.F.L.-C.I.O. Southern California
Master Labor Agreement and Supplements.
The foregoing wage scale and rates are for an eight-
hour day, forty-hour week, time and one-half for overtime and
double time Sundays and holidays, except as otherwise provided
in the June, 1961,Tevision of the B.C.A., H.B.I.,
A.F.L.-C.I.O. Southern Califc3rnitfMaster Labor Agree-
ment and Supplements, which shall govern for Suchoyertime and
double time pay, and the wage scale'for-foremen other-
wise listed above. Holidays as herein referred to shall
deemed to be New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day,
Labor Day, Veteranst Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
If any of the above mentioned holidays, other than Labor Day
and Thanksgiving Day, falls on Sunday, the Monday following
shall be considered a legal holiday.
The overtime rule establishing the rates of overtime
and holiday work _shell be in accordance with the following:
Where a single shift is worked, eight hours of continuous em-
ployment, except for lunch periods, shall constitute, a
work beginning on Monday and continuing through Friday each
week. Where work is required in ,excess of eight hours in any
one day or during the Interval of time froul 5:00 P.M. Friday
and 12:00 atclock midnight Saturday night, such work shall be
paid for at the minimum rate of one and one-half (14) times
the basic rate of wages, and on Sundays and holidays such work
shall be paid for at the minimum rate of double the basic rate
of wages, except as otherwise provided in the June, 1961,
revision of the A.G.C., H.B.I., A.F.L.-
C.1.0. Southern California Master Labor Agreement and Supple-
ments.
Properly indentured apprentices to any of the trades
listed above may be employed upon such public improvements
with skilled workmen, subject to the provisions of Section
1777.,5 of the Labor Code of the State of California, the wage
rates for such apprentices to be determined as provided in
said Section 1777.5.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
