A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE CITIZENS
OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TO CONTACT THEIR
ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES IN WASHINGTON D.C.
AND URGE ACTION ON H. R. BILL NO. 9531 IN
RESPECT TO SALARIES OF POSTAL EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the
City Council of the City of Anaheim and has become common
knowledge that employees of the Post Office Department are
grossly underpaid and
WHEREAS, H. R. Bill No. 953 presently before Congress,
proposes to increase the salaries of Postal Employees to the end
that their wage scale will be more equitable when compared with
other tasks requiring similar skills.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it request and it hereby requests each
of the citizens o f Anaheim to contact his elected representatives
in Washington D.C. urging action on H. R. Bill No. 9531 in respect
to salaries of Postal Employees.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 20th day of February, 1962.
