A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CODICIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING mE PURCHASE
AND ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, James A. Rimpau, is the ower of the here-
inafter described real property situated in the City or
Anaheim, County of Orange, State or CaUrornia; and
WHEREAS, said ower has offered to sell said prop-
erty to the City or ADaheim ror the sum or $158,500.00 cash,
lawfUl money of the United States; and
WHEREAS, the Oity Council does find and detenDine
that public convenience and necessity require the purchase
and acquisition of said parcel of real property for public
purposes, and that the price which the owner thereor is
willing to accept is reasonable and not out of proportion
to the fair market value of said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the offer of James A. Rimpau to
sell said property, situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of Oalifornia, described as follows, to wit:
Vineyard Lot "F6" in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, as
per map recorded in Book 4, Pages 629 and
630 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County,
California,
EXCEPTING the Westerly 562.58 feet thereor.
ror the sum or $158,500.00 cash, lawful money of the United
States, be, and the same is hereby accepted, subject to the
following tenDS and conditions:
1. That seller is to retain the present
ripening crop of oranges on said property.
2. That seller may retain possession of the
house now located on said property until
thirty (30) days after written notioe by
the City of Anaheim that it requires pos-
session of said house.

3. That subject property shall be conveyed to
the City of Anaheim free and clear of all
encumbrances except all taxes for the
fiscal year 1956-51, a lien not yet pay-
able, and covenants, conditions, restric-
tions, reservations, rights, rights-of-way
and easements of record.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator
of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim to sign escrow instruc-
tions for the purchase of said real property and to enter
into an escrow with the owner of said property at Title
Insurance and Trust Company, Santa ADa, California.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer
be, and she is hereby, authorized to deposit in escrow at
Title Insurance and Trust Company, Santa Ana, Califo~ia, the
sum of $158.500.00 cash, la~l money of the United States,
to be paid to the owner of said real property when a deed
conveying said property to the City of Anahei. free and clear
of all encumbrances, exoept as hereinabove set forth, can be
recorded and a policy of title insurance issued by Title
Insurance and Trust Company showing said property vested in
the City of Anaheim free and clear of all enoumbrances, e x-
cept as hereinabove specified.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the seller shall
pay the usual and customary seller's charges for 1'um ishlng
a policy of title insurance necessary to show title vested
in the City of Anaheim, as herein provided, and that the
Ci ty of Anaheim shall pay the usual buyer I s shar e in the
purchase of said property.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 29th day of May, 1956.
