A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DESIGNATING
THE TERRITORY AS THE

ANNEXATION; DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIEs OF THE
TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE .ANNEXED AND GIVING
NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND
WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPER'!'Y WITHIN
SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNExED MAY
APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE
WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOUlD NOT BE ANNEXED TO
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Counoil of the City of Allahe1m did

written petition asking that oertain new territory desoribed in
said petition be annexed to the City of Allah.1m; and
WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the pro-
pos~ for the annexation of the territory hereinafter described
to the City of Allahe1m was subai tted to the Boundary COJlIIDission
of the County of Orange, State of C~1fornia, and reported upon
br said Boundary Commission with respeot to the definiteness and
certainty of the proposed boundaries; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anahe1m is situated in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is contiguous to the City of A.nahe1m and is un-
inhabited territory, and said petition oontained a desoription
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
Resolution desoribed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidenoe and re-
ports reoeiVed that at the t1me of the filing and receipt of said
petition~ it was and now is signed by owers of not less than one-
fourth (-r) of the land in the territory by area and by assessed
value in the territory proposed to be annexed, aooording to the
last preceding equalized county assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds from evidenoe and re-
ports reoeived and from said petition that at the time of the
filing and presentation of said petition that said new territory
proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a
part of any munioipal corporation and that said territory was un-
inhabited and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and
evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory
so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows,
to wit:

WAGNER ANNEXATION
A parcel of land being that portion of the NWt of the swt of Section 12, T45, RIOW,
S.B.B. & M., lying southerly of the northerly right-of-way line of Anaheim-olive Road
and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing Anaheim City Limits line as established by the
Ward Annexation, Annexation No. 27, as passed by Ordinance No. 812, on August 12, 1952
and filed with the Secretary of State on September 9, 1952, said point being the
intersection of the said city limit line and the easterly line of the NWt of the
swt of Section 12, T45, RIOW, S.B.B. & M.; thence,
1. Southerly along the easterly line of the NWt of the swt of said Section
12 to a point in the existing city limit line of the City of Anaheim as established
by the Placentia South Annexation to the City of Anaheim, Annexation No. 59 as passed
by Ordinance No. 1000 on July 12, 1955 and filed with the Secretary of State on August
12, 1955; thence,
2. Westerly along the existing city limit line to a point of intersection
with the easterly line of the Placentia Avenue Annexation to the City of Anaheim,
Annexation No. 25, as passed by Ordinance No. 801 on July 22, 1952, and filed
with the Secretary of State on August 22, 1952; thence,
3. Northerly along the easterly line of said P1acentia Avenue Annexation
to a point of intersection with the East Anaheim Annexation, Annexation No.8, as
passed by Ordinance No. 700 on April 9, 1946 and filed with the Secretary of State
on May 13, 1946; thence,
4. Southeasterly along the northeasterly right-of-way line of Anaheim-olive
Road and the eXisting city limit line to the point of beginning.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEJM:
That such proposed annexation be designated as
W4GI'ER ANNEXATION. and that notice of such pro-
posed annexation be hereby given as hereinafter providedo
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be
had upon the date set, not less than forty (40) nor more than
sixty (60) days after the passage of this Resolution, unless the
owner or owners cf all of the territory to be annexed have
petitioned for annexation or filed their consents to such annex-
ation, in writing, with the City Council, in which event the
hearing shall be set not less than fifteen (15) days nor more
than sixty (60) days after the passage of this Resolution.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
find that the owner or owners of all of the territory proposed
to be annexed have not peti tioned for annexation or filed
their consents to such annexation, in writing, with the City
CounciL
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 3rd day of .Jlll y ,

Chambers in the Chy Hall of the City of Anaheim be, and the same
is hereby, fixed as the day, hour and place when and where the
City Council will hear protests made by any owner or owners of
real property within the territory proposed to be annexed; and that
at any time before the hour set for hearing objections, any owner
of property within said territory may file with the City Clerk a
written protest against the annexation. Said protest shall be in
writing and shall state the name of the ov.rner of the property
affected and the description and area of the property in general
terms"
BE I'r FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is
hereby, authorized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution
to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week,
in a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City, to
wi t: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange County, California,
and also in a newspaper of general circulation, published outside
of the City, but in the County of Orange, in which is located the
te~ritory hereinabove proposed to be annexed to the City of
Anaheim, to wit: the Placentia Courier ; and that
such publication shall be completed at least twenty (20) days
prior to the date of hearing hereinabove specified.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll
available, on the date the proceedings were initiated, at the'
address shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in which he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk; and in the event that land
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of
Anaheim is owned by a County, the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim shall also crolse written notice of such proposed annex-
ation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County.
The foregoing notices shall be given not less than twenty (20)
days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
