A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND
CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNERS CONCERNING RIGHT OF
WAY AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PAYMENT
THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, heretofore, by its Resolution No. 62R -386
the City of Anaheim authorized and directed the initiation of
condemnation proceedings relating to the condemnation of certain
parcels of land for highway and public utility purposes along
La Palma Avenue east of Dowling Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Clarence Hobart McProud and Barbara M. McProud
husband and wife, and Diedrich Burdorf and Mildred Beatrice Burdorf,
husband and wife, referred to herein as "McProud-Burdorf," as
owners of one of the aforesaid parcels are willing to grant to
said City an easement deed covering the northerly 53.00 feet
of their property, subject to certain terms and conditions all
as set forth in an agreement between the City of Anaheim and
said McProud- Burdorf, a copy of which is submitted herewith; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that said agreement is fair and reasonable and that the execution
thereof by the Mayor and City Clerk is in the best interests of
the City of Anaheim and that the terms and conditions in said
agreement set forth are fair, reasonable and the acceptance
thereof is in the best interests of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Finance Director be, and she is hereby,
authorized and directed to deliver to the City Attorneyts Office
the sum of $1,000.00, payable to Clarence Hobart McProud and
Mildred Beatrice Burdorf, to be paid by the City Attorney to
said McProud- Burdorf when, in his opinion, the City Attorney
holds a good and sufficient easement deed of said McProud- Burdorf
covering the following described property;
An easement for highway and public utility
purposes over, under and across the northerly
53.00 feet of the following described parcel
of land:
Lot Two (2) of Orange Grove Acres, as shown
on a Map recorded in Book 6, Page 42 of
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Westerly 2.84 acres
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Anaheim does hereby accept the conveyance of the afore-
mentioned grant of easement.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim be, and they are hereby, authorized and
directed to execute the agreement submitted herewith for and on
behalf of the City of Anaheim.

ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 1st day of
May, 1962.
