1962-0386WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
acquisition of certain real property within the City of Anaheim
for the following purposes, to wit: highway easement and public
utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
public interest and necessity require the acquisition of all
that certain real property herein described, by the City of
Anaheim for highway easement and public utility purposes.
NOW, ThEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of that certain real property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, more
particularly described as follows, to wit:

feet of the following described parcel of land:
The Westerly 2.84 acres of Lot Two (2) and the
Easterly 2.83 acres of Lot Three (3) of Orange
Grove Acres as shown on a Map recorded in Book
6, Page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California.
An easement for highway and public utility pur-
poses over, under and across the Northerly 53.00
feet of the following described parcel of land:

lying within a strip of land 53.00 feet in
width, the North line of said strip being

Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot
One (1), said Northwest corner being the inter-
section of the West line of Lot Une and the

poses over, under and across the following
described parcel of land:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot Une of
Fractionai Section 5, Township 4 S outh, Range 9
West, of the San ,Bernardino Meridian, County of
Orange, State of California, according to an
Official Plat of said land filed in the District
Land Uffice,March 23, 1675; thence Westerly
along the South line -of said Lot One, a distance
of 612.22 feet to the true point of beginning;
thence continuing Westerly along the South line
of said Lot Une, a distance of 200.00 feet to
the intersection with the Easterly line of the
right of way of the Atchison, Topeka and -Santa
Fe Railroad; thence Northeasterly along the_
Easterly line of said Railroad right of way, a
distance of 24 feet; thence Southeasterly in a
direct line to the true point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does here-
by find and determine that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of said land by the City of Anaheim for the afore-
said purposes, and that the taking of the property hereinabove
described is necessary therefor, and that the uses to which it is
to be put are uses authorized by law, and the taking of said
property is necessary to such uses.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does here-
by authorize the acquisition of said property by the City of
Anaheim, and the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim is hereby
directed to institute an action in eminent domain for the acqui-
sition of the title to said property, and to perform and carry
out all of the necessary proceedings and steps incident to the
acquisition of the title to said property and to obtaining immed-
iate possession thereof.
