A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
~~NT OF A PORTION OF CYPRESS STREET, A PORTION
OF ILLINOIS STREET AND A PORTION OF OHIO STREET,
AND EASEMENTS FOR STREET PURPOSES UPON, OVER,
ACROSS AND ALONG THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED
PROPERTIES; RESERVING A RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR SEWER,
WATER AND PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES UPON, OVER,

WHEm~AS, The City Council of the City of Anaheim, a
municipal corporation of the State of California, did on the
24th day of April, 1956, pass its Ordinance No. 1062 en-
titled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING THE
INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION
OF CYPRESS STREET, A PORTION OF ILLINOIS STREET AND A PORTION
OF OHIO STREET, AND EASE~~NTS FOR STREET PURPOSES UPON, OVER,
ACROSS AND ALONG THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTIES; RE-
SERVING A RIGHT-OF-WAY B'OR SEWER, ivATER AND PUBLIC UTILITY
PURPOSES UPON, OVER, ALONG A:'JD ACROSS A PORTIOE OF OHIO STREm;
FIXING A TIr~ AND PLACE FOR A HE.~qING THEREON; AN~ DIRECTING

ORDINAj,CE," whereby it declared its intention to vacate and
abandon and olose to public use a portion of Cypress street,
a portion of Illinois Street and a portion of Ohio Street,
together with easements for street purposes upon, over, across
a.nd along the hereinafter described properties; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did further declare its in-
tention to reserve a right-of-way for sewer, water and publio
utility purposes upon, over, across and along the portion of
Ohio Street proposed to be abandoned and hereinafter described;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council in said Ordinanoe referred
to a mao on file in the Office of the City Clerk for further
particulars as to the proposed vaoation, abandonment and closing
to public use of said portiomof Cypress Street, Illinois Street
and Ohlo Street, and easements for street purposes, and said
reservation of right-of-way for sewer, water and publio utility
purposes over, along, upon and across said portion of Ohio street;
and
WHEREAS, said City Council did by said Ordinanoe fix
the 22nd day of May, 1956 at 7:00 olclock P.M., in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall in the City of Anaheim as the time
and Dlace of a public hearing on the matter of such vacation,
abandonment and closim' to Dublic use of se.id portions of: Cypress
Street, Illinois Street and Ohio Street, together with easements
for street purposes, for all persons interested in or objeoting
to suoh proposed vacation, abandonment and closing to public use
to appear and show cause, if any they had, why said portions of
said streets and easementr, for street purposes should not be
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use; and

WHEREAS, said Ordinance was published on the 30th
day of Auril , 1956 in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in
the City of Anaheim, Orange County, California; and

WHEREAS, by said Ordinance said City Council directed
that notices of the passage of said Ordinance and of the time
and place of the hearing on the matter of the vacation, abandon-
ment and closing to public use of said portionaof Cypress Street,
Illinois Street and Ohio Street, tOGether with easements for
street purposes, be posted conspicuously along the lines of said
portions of said streets and easements proposed to be vacated,
not more than JOO feet apart, at least ten (10) days before said
hearinf" and not less than three (J) such notices should be post-
ed on each of the three said portions of said streets; and
WHEREAS, Calvin ~~ __ did on the 11 th day
of :.:a:v , 1956 post conspicuously nine suoh
notices, posting three notices along the lines of said por-
tion of Cypress Street and three notices along the lines of
said portion of Illinois Street, and three notices along the
lines of said portion of Ohio Street, whiclliiotices were posted
less than 300 feet apart, and were posted at least ten (10) days
before said hearing; and
WHEREAS, said City Council did on the 22nd day of May,
1956 at 7:00 o'olook P.M. at said City Hall, conduct a public
hearing on the matter of whether said portions of streets and
easements for street purposes, hereinafter desoribed, should be
vaoated, abandoned and closed to public use, and at said hearing
did hear evidence thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from all the evidence
submitted that said portions of said streets and easements for
street purposes described in the Ordinance of Intention and here-
inafter described are unnecessary for present or prospeotive
street ourposes, and that an order vacating suoh portions of
streets and easements for street purposes as desoribed in the
Ordinance of Intention should be made by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of
the City of Anaheim:
1. That it finds the recitals hereinbefore set forth
in this Resolution to be true;
2. That it finds from all the evidence submitted that
said portio~of Cypress Street, Illinois Street and Ohio street,
together with easements for street purposes, desoribed in said
Ordinanoe, are unnecessary for present or prospective public
purposes;
3. That it does hereby order that said portions of
said streets and easements for street purposes be, and they
are hereby, vacated, abandoned and closed to public use;
4. That said portion of Cypress Street and easement
for street purposes herein ordered vacated, abandoned and olosed
to public use are described in se.id Ordinance No. 1062, are
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, and are more particularly described as follows:

That portion of Cypress Street (52.75 feet
in width) ad easement for s~reet purposes
upon, over, across ad along said portion
of Cypress Street described as follows:
Beginning at a point 171.25 feet easterly
from the easterly property line of !forth
West Street and running easterly 366.95
feet to the easterly end ot' the now existing
right-of-way.
5. That aaid portion of Illinois Street and ease-
aant for street purposes herein ordered vacated, abandoned
and closed to public use are also described in said Ordinanoe
Io. 1062, are situated in the City of Allahela, Count,. of
Orange, State of Oalifornia, and are DlOre particularl,. de-
scribed as tallows:
That portion of Illinois Street (65 teet in
width) and easeaent for street purposes upon,
over, across and along said portion 01' Illinois
Street described as tollows:
Beginning at the northerly property line ot' the
now existing West Cypress Street ad runnua
northerl,. 171.66 feet to the northerl,. end ot
the now existing right-of-way.
6. That said portion of Ohio Street and easement
tor .treet purposes herein ordered vacated, abandoned and
closed to public use are also described in said Ordinance Io.
1062, are situated in the Oit)" of Amahea, COUDty of Orange,
State of Calitornia, and are more particularly described as
follows:
That portion at Ohio Street and easeaent tor street
purposes upon, over, across and along said portion
ot Ohio Street described as follows:
Beginning at a point 155.25 feet northerl,. ot the
northerl,. right-ot-way line of Vest Center Street
and running northerly 116.73 teet to the northerly
end of the now existing right-ot-wa,..
7. That it tinds that the right-of-way tor sewer,
water and public utility purposes upon, over, across and along
the above described portion ot Ohio Street herein ordered
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use should be reserved.
