RESOLUTION NO. 3277
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE REPORT OF
THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS RELATING TO
THE CONSTRUCTION AND CQ1;lPLETION OF CURBS
IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AS AUTHORIZED AND
DIRECTED IN RESOLUTION NO. 3049.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 20th day of
December, 1955, the City Council did adopt Resolution No. 3049
instructing the Superintendent of streets to post certain prop-
erty, notifying the owners thereof to construct curbs and side-
walks upon and along certain streets where sidewalks or ourbs,
or both, for a total frontage of fifty per oent or more on one
side of the street, have already been construoted, and naming
the owneJ'S of the parcels of property affected, and containing
a description of said parcels; and
t~EP~AS, heretofore, to wit, on the lOth day of
January, 1956, the City Counoil did hold a public hearing to
hea.r protests, if an;)', by the property owners against the
construction of sidewalks and curbs, and did pass Resolution
No. 3081, declaring that there were no protests, and direoting
the Superintendent of Streets to cause the construction of said
curbs and sidewalks upon B.nd along the property as directed in
said notiees, unless the property owners should commence said
cons truction \vltl1in 60 days after the giving of said notioes
and diligently and without interruption prosecute to completion;
and
WHEREAS, the property owners did not so commenoe
said construction and the Superintendent of Streets did cause
the construction to be done; and
WHEREAS, upon completion of the construction, the
Superintendent of Streets did cause notice of the cost of con-
struction and the time and place of hearing the report of said
Superintendent of streets to be given in the form and manner
directed by Sections 5881, 5877, 5878, 5878.1 of the Street and
Highway Code of the state of CalHornia; and

7:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber in the City Hall was
thereb:r fixed as the day, hour and plaoe when the City Council
would hear end pass upon a report by the Superintendent of
streets of the cost of the construction, together with any
objections or protests, if a.ny, \"hich might be raised. by any
property owner liable to be assessed for the cost of such
construction, and any other interested persons, and
WHEREAS, the Ci t;y Council did hold and oonduct
said hearing on said 8th day of Ma;y, 1956 at the hour of 7:00
otclocll: P.M., in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the
City of Anaheim, for the purpose of heering and passing upon
said report of the Suuerintendent of Streets and for the further
purpose of hearing and passing uoon all objections or protests
for the cost of construction; and

~~REAS, the Superintendent of Streets did present
his report specifying the work which had been done, the cost
of construction, a description of the real property in front
of which the work had been done, and the assessment against
each lot or parcel of land proposec to be levied to pay the
cost thereof, and at said time and nlace no one appeared to
Object or protest the cost of such construction.
NOW, THEHEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that it does find and determine that no
person appeared to object or protest to the cost of construo-
tion of said curbs and sidewalks, nor filed any written protests
and that the report of the SupeI-intendent of Streets as submi t-
tad should be confirmed.
AND BE I'I' FURTHER RESOLVED that the cost of construc-
tion as hereinafter set forth shall be and is hereby assessed
against the parcel of property fronting upon the sidewalk and
ourb so constructed as hereinafter set forth, and suoh oost so
assessed, if not paid within 5 days after the date of this
Resolution, shall constitute a special assessment against that
parcel of property as hereinaftel' set forth and shall be a lien
on the property for the amount as hereinafter set forth from
the time of recordation of a notice of lien, which lien shall
continue until the assessment and all interest thereon is paid,
or until it is discharged of record. The description of the
property, the owner or owners of record of said property, and
the amount of the assessment is set forth as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Vineyard
Lot A-l as shown on a map recorded in Book 4, pages
629-6)0 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County,
California, running thenoe westerly along the north-
easterly line of said lot, 164 feet; thence southerly
parallel with the easterly line of said lot, 80 feet;
thence easterly parallel with the northerly line of
said lot, 164 feet; thence northerly to the point of
beginning.
Owners - Jeffrey C. Palin and Hazel B. Palin,
husband and wife, as joint tenants.

Beginning at a point in the easterly line of
Vineyard Lot A-I, as per map recorded in Book 4, pages
629-6)0 of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County,
California distant 225 feet southerly from the north-
eas t corner of saie1 lot; running thence westerly,
para.llel with the northerly line of said lot, 374 feet;
thence southerly, parallel with said easterly line, 78
feet; thence easterly, parallel with said northerly
line 374 feet to said easterly line; thence northerly
78 feet to the point of beginning.

Edward.son, husband and ",-ife, as joint tenants.

Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, being a portion
of Lot 1 of Anaheim Extension as shown on a map of
survey made by William Hamel and acknowledged by
Alfred Robinson, Trustee, on file in the Offioe ot
the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the north line of said
Lot 1, being on the south line of La Palma Avenue
distant 817.84 feet west of the northeast corner of
said lot, said point being the northwest corner of
the land conveyed to J. E. Walter, et aI, by deed
recorded May 13, 1947 in Book 1514, page 377 of
Official Records, in the office of the County Recorder
of Orange County; thenoe southerly along the westerly
line of said land 209.41 feet to the southwest corner
of said land; thence south 730 541 25" west along the
westerly extension of the southerly line of said land
270.81 feet, more or less, to the westerly line of
said lot; thence northerly along said westerly line
288 feet to the northwest corner of said lot; thenoe
east along the northerly line of said lot, 281.07 feet
to the point of beginning.
