A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIH FINDING AND DETERMINING 'IHAT PUm.IC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUm.IC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
A 1.J.-MILLION GALLON EARTH EMBANKMENT TYPE. STRF.T. ROOF,
WATER STORAGE RESERVOIR, TO BE LOCATED NEAR THE
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LA PALMA. AVENUE AND WEST STREET,
WORK ORDf':R NO. 11109;
AND APPROVING THE DES[ GNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAW-
INGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUm.IC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUm.ISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, publio oonvenienoe and neoessity require the
construotion and oompletion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
A 4-million Gallon earth embankm6nt type, steel roof,
water storage reservoir, including all appurtenant
work, to be located near the Southeast corner of La
Palma Avenue and 1,o1est Street, Work Order No. 1409.
AND WHEREAS, the City Counoil instruoted James M. Montgomery,
consultin~ Engineer. to prepare detailed designs,
plans, pro iles, drawings and specifioations, and estimates of
quantities and costs, and make necessary surveys for the oonstruo-
tion of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Eng~neer has prepared said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and speoifications for the con-
struotion of said public improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Couno 11; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed de-
signs, plans, profiles, drawings and speoifioations for said publio
improvemE!1t above mentioned are in aooordanoe with good engineering
practioe and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
th€ City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for
the purposes for which they are intended, and that they are a.de-
quate for the oonstruction of said publio improvement and should
be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, dra.w-
ings and speoifications for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said Engineer .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said publio improvement
shall be construoted in acoordanoe with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and speoifications as prepared by said
Lngineer and hereby approved, and suoh addenda or
modifications thereto as may be appro ved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Olerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notioe aocording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, servioes, materials and equip-
ment, ~~d all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel
~ and water, and performing all work neoessary to oonstruct and oom-
plete in a good and worlananlike manner, in str10t aocordance with
said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions as prepared by said En~ineer , the publio improve-
ment hereinabeve mentioned and escribed, and fixing the 22nd
day of MaL.. , 1956 , at the hour of 7:00 o'olock P.M.
as the ea.te .l.r::J. hour for tfi'eopening of said bids at the City
Counoil CI~8'1J:)::'s in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that saic1. r ~.:." Sf'- shall be publiShed twioe, the first of whioh
publications ::t811 be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the ,-;;e:~.:':'1g of bids, and that said publications shall
be at least f~ve (~) days apart.
AND BE I'r FURTHER R8S0LVED that the suocessful bidder
or bidders ~~,.c '.1 be required to enter into a contraot wi th the

City Attorney.
