Boundary Commission of the County of Orange for its report to
the proponents with respect to the definiteness and certainty
of the proposed boundaries; that said Boundary Commission has
(has not) reported upon the petition or proceedings within
twenty (20) days after it was submitted to it; and
`:THEREAS, said City Council did, on the 28th day of
alipe. 19 5$ adopt Resolution No. 2832
giving its consent to the commencement of said annexation pro-
ceedings and approving the circulation of a petition for the
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of July
19 55 said proponents did publish a notice of intention to
circulate a petition for the annexation of the hereinafter de-
scribed property to the City of Anaheim, and within ten (10)
days thereafter did file with the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim.a oopy of such notice of intention to circulate a petit-
ion for the annexation to the City of Anaheim of said territory,
which notice contained the names of the proponents intending to
circulate the petition and the specific boundaries of the terr-
itory proposed to be annexed, accompanied by a printed state-
ment, not exceeding five hundred (500) words in length, contain-
ing reasons for the petition, together with an affidavit of the
publication of said notice of intention to circulate said
petition; and
JHEREAS, within fifteen (15) days after the filing of
said notice of intention to circulate said petition, accompanied
by said affidavit of publication, the City Council did, on the
let day of August 19 55 adopt Resolution
No. 2880 finding and determining that it would be to the advan-
tage and for the best interest of the City of Anaheim and the
qualified electors residing within the hereinafter described
territory, to approve the circulation of a petition for the
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim and did there-
upon approve the circulation of said petition; and
WHEREAS, on the llth day of October 19 55,
the City Council did receive a petition signed by not less than
one fourth of the qualified electors residing within the territory
hereinafter described, as shown by the County Registration of
Voters, containing a descri»tion of the new territory proposed to
be annexed to the City of Anaheim and asking that said territory
be annexed to the City; and the City Council does find and de-
termine that said proponents have done and performed the acts and
things required to be done and performed by the Annexation Act
of 1913, at the time and in the manner as required by the pro-
visions of said Act; and that said petition was circulated more
than twenty -one (21) days after the publication of notice of in-
tention to circulate such petition and that it is signed by not
less than one fourth of the qualified electors residing within
the territory proposed to be annexed, as shown by the County
Registration of Voters and as appears from the certificate of the
City Clerk of the City of Anaheim presented to the City Council
at the time of consideration of said petition and prior to the
adoption of this resolution; and does further find that more than
twelve (12) qualified electors resided within the boundaries of
the territory proposed to be annexed at the time of the filing
of said petition for said annexation; and does further find, from
evidence and reports received and from said petition, that at
the time of the filing and presentation of said petition, that
said new territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim
did not form a part of any other city or municipal corporation,
and that said territory was, at the time of Filing said petition
inhabited territory and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that it
would be to the advantage and for the best interests of the City
of Anaheim, and the residents thereof, and the qualified electors
residing within the territory proposed to be annexed, as herein-
after more particularly described, to submit the question of the
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim to the elect-
ors residing within said territory; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that said
territory should be designated by some appropriate name by which
it may be referred to upon the ballots used at the election at
which the question of annexation of said territory to the City of
Anaheim shall be submitted to the electors residing within said
territory and that an appropriate designation for such territory
is BALL ROAD NO, 2 ANi and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and
evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory
so proposed and sought to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are
as follows, to -wit: Said territory is situated in the County of
Orange, State of California, and the specific boundaries thereof
are as follows:
A parcel of land being a portion of Sections 15, 16, 21 and
22, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and
Meridian and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing Anaheim City
Limits line as established by the Disneyland Annexation to the
City of Anaheim, Annexation No. 48 as passed by Ordinance No.
932 on October 13, 1954 and filed with the Secretary of State
on December 30, 1954, said point being the intersection of the
southerly line of N. 1/2 of Lot No. 4, Block 12 of Fairview
Colony Tract as shown on a map thereof in Book 1 at Page 33 of
Miscellaneous Record Maps, Records of Orange County and a line
parallel to and 30,00 feet easterly, as measured at right angles
to the westerly line of Sec. 21, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
S.B.B. M. (said westerly line also being the center line of
Euclid Avenue); thence,
1. Easterly 1290 feet, more or less, along said existing
City Limits Line and said southerly line of the N. 1/2 of Lot 4
and the southerly line of the N. 1/2 of Lot 3 of said Block 12
to the easterly line of said Lot 3; thence,
2. Northerly 350 feet, more or less, along said existing
City Limits Line and along said easterly line of Lot 3 and its
northerly prolongation to a line parallel to and 20.00 feet
northerly, as measured at right angles, from the southerly line
of NW 1/4 of said Section 21, (said southerly line also being
the center line of Cerritos Avenue) and said point being in the
westerly line of SE 1/4 of NW 1/4 of said Section 21; thence,
3. North 89° 581 00" East, 120.00 feet, along said exist-
ing City Limits Line and said parallel line to a point in the
easterly line of West 120 feet of South 230 feet of West 510
feet of said SE 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section 21; thence,

west line of SE 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section 21; thence,

said northerly line of Colonial Avenue and its easterly and
westerly prolongations to a point in the easterly line of
Feather Street (60 feet wide) said point also being located
in the westerly line of Lot No. 29 of said Tract No. 1981; thence
16. South 0° 15 16" East 15 feet, more or less, along said
westerly line of Lot 29 to the southwesterly corner of said Lot
29; thence,
17. North 89° 44" East 256 feet, more or less, along
southerly line and its easterly prolongation of Lots 29 and 4
of said Tract No 1981 to a point in the westerly line of E. 1/2
of NE 1/4 of said Section 21, said westerly line also being the
center line of Walnut Street; thence,
18. Continuing North 89° 11 0 44" East 20 feet, more or
less, to a point 20,00 feet easterly, as measured at right
angles, from westerly line of E. 1/2 of NE 1/4 of said Section
21; thence,
19. South 0° 15 16" East 990 feet, more or less, along a
line parallel to and 20.00 feet easterly of said westerly line
of E. 1/2 of NE 1/4 of Section 21 to a point in the northerly
line of said Disneyland Annexation, said point also being
located on the southerly line of NE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 21,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. M; thence,
20. Easterly 1270 feet, more or less, along said southerly
line of NE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 21, and said existing City
Limits Line to a line parallel to and 30.00 feet westerly, as
measured at right angles, from the westerly Section Line of
Section 22, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. M. (said
westerly line also being the center line of West Street) thence,

line and said existing City Limits line to the westerly prolonga-
tion of a line parallel to and 20.00 feet northerly of southerly
line of N. 1/2 of NW 1/4 of said Section 22 (said southerly line
also being the center line of Winston Road); thence,

line and its westerly prolongation, and along said existing City
Limits Line to a line parallel to and 30.00 feet westerly of
easterly line of said NW 1/4 of Section 22 (said easterly line
also being the center line of Harbor Boulevard); thence,
23. Southerly 20 feet, more or less, along said parallel
line and along said existing City Limits Line to the westerly
prolongation of the southerly line of N. 1/2 of NE 1/4 of said
Section 22; thence,
24. Easterly 1350 feet, more or less, along said southerly
line and its westerly prolongation and along said existing City
Limits Line to the westerly line of NE 1/4 of NE i/4 of said
Section 22, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. M.; thence,
25. Northerly 660 feet, more or less, along said westerly
line and along said existing City Limits Line to a point in the
southerly line of the Ball Road Annexation to the City of Ana-
heim, Annexation No. 28 as passed by Ordinance No. 814 on August
19, 1952, and filed with the Secretary of State on September 22,
1952, said point also being the southeasterly corner of the N.
1/2 of NW 1/4 of NE 1/4 of said Section 22; thence,
26. Westerly 1290 feet, more or less, along southerly line
of said N. 1/2 of NW 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 22 and along said
existing City Limits Line to a line parallel to and 30.00 feet
easterly as measured at right angles of westerly line of said
NE 1/4 of Section 22 (said westerly line also being the center
line of said Harbor Boulevard) thence,
27. Northerly 660 feet, more or less, along said parallel
line and said existing City Limits Line to a point in the north
Section Line of said Section 22 (said north line also being the
centerline of Ball Road); thence,
28. Easterly 5.12 feet, more or less, along said northerly
line and said existing City Limits Line to the southerly pro-
longation of a line parallel to and 30.00 feet southeasterly, as
measured at right angles, from the center line of said Harbor
Boulevard; thence,
29. Northeasterly 630 feet, more or less, along said paral-
lel line and said existing City Limits line to a line parallel
to and 24.75 feet southwesterly, as measured at right angles,
from the center lire of Palm Street; thence,
30. Northeasterly 49,5 feet, along said existing City
Limits Line and crossing said Palm Street at right angles to its
center line, to a line parallel to and 24.75 feet northeasterly,
as measured at right angles, from said center line of Palm
Street, said point also being in the westerly line of South Palm
Street Annexation No. 2 to the City of Anaheim, as passed by
Ordinance No. 751 on November 25, 1949 and filed with the Secre-
tary of State on December 27, 1949; thence,
31. Northwesterly 515 feet, more or less, along said paral-
lel line, and said existing City Limits Line to a point located
257 feet, more or less, southerly of the center line of Vermont
Avenue, as measured along said parallel line 24.75 feet easterly
of center line of Palm Street, said point also being located in
the southerly line of the South Palm Street Annexation to the
City of Anaheim, as passed by Ordinance No. 704 on August 13,
1946 and filed with the Secretary of State on November 21, 194

32. Southwesterly 54.75 feet, more or less, and crossing
said Palm Street along a line parallel to the center line of said
Vermont Avenue and along said existing City Limits Line to
a line parallel to and 30.00 feet westerly, as measured at
right angles, to the center line of said Palm Street; thence,
33. Northwesterly 224 feet, more or loss, along said
parallel line and said existing City Limits Line to a line
parallel to and 33.00 feet southerly, as measured at right
angles, from the said center line of Vermont Avenue; thence,
34.. Northwesterly 66.00 feet, more or less, along said
existing City Limits Line to the point of intersection of a
line parallel to and 34.75 feet westerly as measured at right
angles, from the said center line of Palm Street and a line
33.00 feet northerly, as measured at right angles., from said
center line of Vermont Avenue, said point also being located
in the Original Anaheim City Limits Line; thence,
35. Southwesterly 2315 feet, more or less, along said line
parallel to and 33.00 feet northerly, as measured at right
angles from center line of Vermont Avenue, and along said
existing City Limits Line to the center line of South West
Street; thence,
36. Southeasterly 33 feet, more or less, along said center
line and said existing City Limits Line to the center line of
said Vermont Avenue; thence,
37. Southwesterly 1698 feet, more or less, along said
existing City Limits Line and along the center line of Vermont
Avenue (abandoned) to a line parallel to and 30.00 feet
easterly, as measured at right angles, from the westerly line
of SE 1 /4 of SE 1 /4 of Section 16, Township 4 South, Range 10
West, S.B.B. M. (said westerly line also being the center
line of Walnut Street); thence,
38. Southerly 297 feet, more or less, along said parallel
line and said existing City Limits Line to the south line of

the center line of the Southern Pacific Co. R /W; thence,
40. Northerly 4670 feet, more or less, along said east line
and said existing City Limits Line to a point in the southerly
line of the Helen and Lynch Annexation to the City of Anaheim,
said line also being the northeasterly R/W line of the Southern
Pacific Co.; thence,
41. Northwesterly 752 feet, more or less, along said R/W
line and said existing City Limits Line to an angle point in
said R/W line; thence,
42. Southwesterly 50 feet, more or less, along said exist-
ing City Limits Line and said R/W line to an angle point in
said R/W line; thence,
43. Northwesterly 484 feet, more or less, along said exist-
ing City Limits Line and said R/W line to a line parallel to and
30.00 feet southerly, as measured at right angles from northerly
line of said Section 16, (said northerly line also being the
center line of Lincoln Avenue) and said point being an angle
point in the Manchester Avenue Annexation to the City of Ana-
heim, as passed by Ordinance No. 723 on February 10, 1948 and
filed with the Secretary of State on March 18, 1948; thence,
44. Westerly 270 feet, more or less, along said existing
City Limits Line and said parallel line to a line parallel to
and 20.00 feet easterly, as measured at right angles from the
east line of W. 1/2 of W. 1/2 of said Section 16, (said east
line also being the center line of Loara Street and said point
being the most northeast corner of Orange Avenue Annexation to
the City of Anaheim, Annexation No. 44 as passed by Ordinance
No. 914 on August 10, 1954 and filed with the Secretary of State
on October 18, 1 954; thence,
45. Southerly 5280 feet, more or less, along said existing
City Limits Line and said parallel line and its southerly pro-
longation to a line parallel to and 30.00 feet southerly, as
measured at right angles, from the north line of said Section
21, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. M. (said north
line also being the center line of Ball Road); thence
46. Westerly 1310 feet, more or less, along said existing
City Limits Line and said parallel line to a line parallel to
and 30.00 feet easterly as measured at right angles, of West
line of said Section 21 (said west line also being the center
line of Euclid Avenue); thence,
4.7. Southerly 2940 feet, more or less, along said parallel
line to the point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it does hereby declare its intention
to call a special election for the purpose of submitting to the
electors residing in the hereinabove described new territory,
the question whether said new territory shall be annexed to, in-
corporated in, and made a part of the City of Anaheim and the
property therein be, after such annexation, subject to taxation
equally with the property within said City of Anaheim, to pay
its pro rata share, based upon assessed valuation, of all of the
bonded indebtedness of said City of Anaheim outstanding on the
date of the filing of the petition, to-wit, the llth day of
October 19 55 or theretofore authorized;. and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the territory so proposed
to be annexed shall be designated as "BALL ROAD NO. 2
tAlVEXATION" and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 8th day of November
1955_, u; the hour of 7:00 otclock P.M. in the City
Council Chamber of th City Hall in the City of Anaheim be, and
the same is hereby, fixed as the day, hour and place when and
where any person owning real property within the territory so
proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed
annexation, may sppeS;or before the City Council of the. City of
Anaheim and show why such territory should not be so an-
nexed; that all pe r cos.. having any objections to such proposed
annexation are herea:r rot;ified to appear on said day, at said
hour and place, tc show cause, if any they have, why such terri-
tory should not be so annexed, and all such persons are further
notified that any protests against the calling of an election to
submit to the electors residing within said territory the
question of annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim,
or any protests against the annexation of said territory to the
City of Anaheim must be in writing and may be filed with the
City Clerk of the City of Anaheim at any time not later than the
hour and date set forth herein for the hearing of objections to
said election,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least once
a week for two weeks prior to the date hereinabove fixed for the
hearing of protests and objections to said election and the
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, in the
ANAHEIM BULLETIN, a newspaper of general circulation, published
and circulated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
