A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE PROPOSED
MASTER PLAN RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION FOR THE AREA INCLUDED IN THE
PLACENTIA -BALL ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Cocrunission of the City
of Anaheim did hold a public hearing on the 13th day of June,
1955 for the purpose of adopting a proposed Master Plan of
the area included within the Placentia -Ball Annexation; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection,
investigation and study, did find and determine the follow-
ing:
1. That the area is ideally situated for M -1,
LIGHT MANUFACTURING;
2. That such a zone would result in greater
economic return to the City of Anaheim
than a residential zone;
That such a zone is necessary to support
the rapid growth of housing development
within the City;
AND WHEREAS, said Commission did pass and adopt
Resolution No. 187 Series 1954 -55, wherein it was recom-
mended to the City Council that said zoning be adopted as a
proposed Master Plan, and that until said annexation is
completed, the City go on record to the Orange County Plan-
ning Commission and Board of Supervisors that residential
development in the area be prohibited; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine,
after study and investigation, that said zoning would be
for the best interest and welfare of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the proposed
Master Plan recommended by the City Planning Commission of
the area included in the Placentia -Ball Annexation, be, and
the same is hereby, approved and adopted, Wherein and whereby
the following described property shall be, upon annexation to
the City, zoned to M -1, LIGHT MANUFACTURING;
The property bounded on the north by Ball Road,
on the east by Placentia Avenue, on the south
by Katella Avenue, and on the west by a line
starting at a point 3990 feet, more or less,
from the easterly right of way line of
Placentia Avenue and running northerly at right
angles to Katella Avenue a distance of 1280
feet, more or less, thence at right angles
westerly a distance of 1060 feet, more or less,
to the easterly right of way line of South Los
Angeles Street and extending northerly along
this right of way line to Ball Road.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Orange County
Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors be advised
of said proposed Master Plan and requested to prohibit
residential development of said area pending the comple-
tion of annexation proceedings.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved
by me this 9th day of August, 1955.

AYES: COUNCILMEN: Fry, Schutte, and Wisser.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Pearson and Van Wagoner.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor Pro Tem of
the City of Anaheim approved and signed said Resolution on
the 9th day of August, 1955.
