PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF INHABITED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
1HEREAS, William. C. Maxwell�Mattie Lou Maxwell, E. R. Trotter,
Mrs. Laura M. Trotter, Mozelle L. Milhrat Cleo P. Myers, Walter F. Mil
brat, Louis J Myers, Lemuel Millikan, Ina Millikan and Lawrence W,, Allen
have filed with the City Council a written request, requesting thy.:
consent of the City Council of the City of Anaheim to the °ommence
meat of rroceedings for the annexation of the hereinafter de-
scribed territory to the City of Anaheim, and stating that said
territory is inhabited territory and is contiguous to the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
it would be to the advantage and benefit of the City of Anaheim
and to the qua1if t ec. e1ectoe resiJing within said territory to
permit the above lamed proponents to commence proceedings for the
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, upon the con-
ditions hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, said request has been referred to the City
Planning Commission and its report and recommendations received
recommending the granting of consent to commence proceedings for
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the consent of the City Council be, and
it is hereby, given to said proponents to commence proceedings for
the annexation of the hereinafter described territory to the City
of Anaheim, upon the following conditions:
First' That the proposal for annexation of said terri-
tory to the Cii,y of Anaheim sh.all be submitted to and reported
upon to the proponents by the PourrIar j Co7mj c s ion of the County
of Orange, respect to the del ln?_ ene s and certainty of pro-
posed boundaries.
Second: That no petition be circulated for the annexat-
ion of said territory until after notice of intention to circulate
such petition has been published as required by law and a copy of
such notice and an affidavit of publication has been filed with
the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim within ten (10) days after
the date of publication of said notice, and a resolution has been
adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim acknowledging
receipt of said notice and approving the circulation of said petit-
ion.
Third: That the circulation of any petition for the
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim shall not be
commenced until twenty -one (21) days after the publication of said
notice of intention to circulate the same.
The boundaries of the territory for which proceedings
are proposed to be commenced for the annexation thereof to the c:i.ty
of Anaheim are described as follows:

A parcel of land being a portion of Sections 7 and 18, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian and Section 12, Township 4
South, Range 11 West,. San Iernardino Base and Meridian and more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of a line parallel to and 15.00 feet northerly
of the southerly line of NE4 of Section 12, T4S, R11W, SBBM, (said southerly
line also being the centerline of Crescent Avenue)and the westerly line of
E of SE4 of NE4 of said Section 12, said point also being an angle point in
the existing Anaheim City Limits line as established by the Magnolia
Crescent Annexation to the City of Anaheim, Annexation No. 52 as passed by
Ordinance No. 956 on December 28, 1954 and filed with the Secretary of State
on January 31, 1955; thence,
1. Northerly 980 feet, more or less, along said westerly line of E4
of SE4 of NE4 of Section 12 and said existing City Limits Line to the northerly
line of Si- of NE4 of SE-4 of NE4 of said Section 12; thence,
2. Easterly 630 feet, more or less, along said northerly line and said
existing City Limits line to a point in a line parallel to and 30.00 feet
westerly of the east line of said Section 12, (said east line also being the
centerline of Magnolia Avenue); thence,
3. Southerly 980 feet, more or less, along said parallel line and said
existing City Limits line to a point in said line parallel to and 15.00

4. Easterly 30 feet, more or less, along said parallel line and said
existing City Limits line to a point in said easterly line of Section 12;

5. Continuing easterly 30 feet, more or less, along a line parallel to

SBBM, and said existing Anaheim City Limits lino to a point located 30.00
feet easterly as measured at right angles from the westerly line of said
Section 7, said point also being an angle point in the existing Anaheim City
Limits line as established by the Gilbert Street Annexation to the City of
Anaheim Annexation No. 37 as passed by Ordinance No, 868 on November 24,
1953 and filed with the Secretary of State on January 11, 1954; thence,
6. Continuing easterly 1171 feet, more or less, along said parallel line
and said existing Anaheim City Limits line to the northerly prolongation of
the easterly line of the W- of SW- of said Section 7; thence,
7. Southerly 2708 feet, more or less, along said easterly line and its
northerly and southerly prolongations and said existing Anaheim City Limits
line to a line parallel to and 30.00 feet scutherly of northerly line of
Section 18, T4S, R10W, SBBM, (said northerly line also being the centerline
of Lincoln Avenue); thence,
8. Westerly 652 feet, more or less, along said parallel line and said
existing City Limits line to the easterly line of NV/- of NWQ of NW-x of said
Section 18, said point also being an angle point in said existing City Limits
line; thence,
9. Northerly 60 feet, more or less, along the northerly prolongation of
said easterly line to a line parallel to and 30.00 feet northerly of southerly
line of Section 7, T4S, R10W, SBBM; thence,
10. Westerly 660 feet, more or less, along said parallel line to the
westerly line of said Section 7, said westerly line also being the centerline
of Magnolia Avenue; thence,
11. Continuing westerly 2640 foot, more or less, along a line parallel
to and 30.00 feet northerly of southerly line of Section 12, T4S, R111J, SBBM to
the easterly line of SW4 of said Section 12 (said easterly line also being the
centerline of Dale Avenue); thence,
12. Continuing Jesterly 660 feet, more or less, along said line parallel
to the southerly line of Section 12 to the westerly line of 5E7 of SE of
SU of said Section 12; thence,
13. Northerly 630 feet, more or less, along said westerly line to the
northwest corner of said SE-2 of SEA of SW- of Section 12; thence,

SEY of Sup to its intersection with a line parallel to and 145.00 feet
westerly, as measured at right angles from the easterly line of SL
of said Section 12 (said easterly line also being the centerline of Dale

of Southern California Edison Company right of way; thence,
26. Continuing easterly 265 feet, more or less, along said line
parallel to and 15.00 feet northerly as measured at right angles from
southerly line of NE'_ of Section 12 to Southwest corner of said Mag-
nolia-Crescent Annexation: thence
27. Continuing easterly 660 feet, more or less, along said parallel
line and also along said existing Anaheim City Limits line to the point
of beginning.
