A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND
ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim School District of Orange County,
a political subdivision of the State of California, is the
owner of that certain parcel of land situated in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as
follows, to wit:
Lot 26 of Anaheim Investment Company's Tract,
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 7,
Pages 33 and 34, Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of Orange County, California;
AND WHEREAS, said School District has offered to sell,
transfer and convey the southerly 330.18 feet thereof to the
City of Anaheim for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty
two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($22,500) cash, lawful money
of the United States; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
it would be to the advantage and for the best interest of the
City of Anaheim to acquire said real property, and that the
offer of the owner thereof to sell said property to the City
for the above mentioned sum is not disproportionate to the fair
market value of said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of the Anaheim School District
of Orange County to sell said property, situated in the County of
Orange, State of California, and described as follows, to wit:
The southerly 330.18 feet of Lot 26 of Anaheim
Investment Company's Tract, as shown on a map
thereof recorded in Book 7, Pages 33 and 34,
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
and containing 5.0 acres, more or less,
for the sum of Twenty -two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($22,500)in
cash, be, and the same is hereby, accepted, and that a deed to said
property from said Anaheim School District of Orange County be,
and the same is hereby, accepted, subject to the conditions herein-
after specified; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf of the
City of Anaheim to sign escrow instructions for the purchase of
said real property and to enter into an escrow with the owner of
said property with the All Service Corporation, 211 E. Center
Street, Anaheim, California, which escrow shall include, among
other things, the following conditions:
1. That the escrow shall be for a period of
six (6) months from date hereof.

2. That the City of Anaheim shall be entitled
to receive all revenue from the existing
orange crop on said Lot 26, including that
portion retained by said School District.
3. That the cost of the care and maintenance
of said orange crop, including that portion
of the crop on the portion of Lot 26 retained
by said School District, shall be borne by
the City of Anaheim until said crop is
harvested.
'3E 12 FURTHER RESOLVED thst the City Treasurer
he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay into escrow with
the All Service Corporation, 211 East Center Street, Anaheim,
California, the sum of Twenty-two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($22,500), lawful money of the United States, to be paid to the
Anaheim School District when a deed conveying said property to
the City of Anaheim, free and clear of all encumbrances, except
taxes for the fiscal year 1954-55, and convenants, conditions,
restrictions, reservations, rights, rights-of-way and easements
of record, can be recorded and a policy of title insurance
issued by the Security Title Insurance Company showing said
property vested in the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by

AND 1 FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
