1955-2768WHEREAS, Senate Bi11 1853 is currently before the Senate
of the United States for consideration and possible passage; and
WHEREAS, said Senate 3i11 1853 has been assigned for
consideration to the Senate Committee on Interstate and Foreign
Commerce of the United States Senate; and
WHEREAS, a study of said Senate Bill 1853 reveals that
its passage would be detrimental to the best interests of the
people of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, after consideration and review, the City
Council of the City of Anaheim finds that said Senate Bill 1853
would be detrimental to the best interests of the people of the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it urge, and it does hereby urge, the
Senate Committee on Interstate and Foreign Commerce of the Senate
of the United States that it recommend said Senate Bill 1853 out
of said Committee with a recommendation of "do not pass."
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of tnis Resolu-
tion be forwarded to each of the members of said Senate Committee
on Interstate and Foreign Commerce and to the representatives of
the State of California in the United States Senate.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
