A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AIND DETERMINING THAT A
CHANGE, OF ZONE SHOULD NOT BE GRAN TED IN A
CERTAIN A REA O_F THE CITY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City
of Anaheim has heretofore duly pa 'sad and adopted a resolu-
tion recommending denial of a change in the boundaries of
the zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and described, after
having fixed a time and ,place for the holding of a public
hearing thereon in the manner and as prescribed in Article
IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code, and after having
duly held and conducted such public hearing to consider said
proposed change of zone or zones, and after having received
evidence and retorts from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days follow-
ing the hearing; thereon, the Planning Commission did duly
announce by formal Resolution No. 73 Series 1954-55, its
findings of facts and declare its opinions and reasons for
recommending a denial of said proposed change in the bounda-
ries of the zone hereinafter mentioned and described; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from
the date of tie adoption of said resolution b the Planning
Commission, a written appeal was filed with the City Council
of the City of Anaheim requesting a review of the matter,
whereupon the City Council did fix the 8th day of March, 1955,
at 7 :00 o'clock P.M., as the time and the City Council
Chambers in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, as the
place for a public hearing upon said proposed change of zone,
and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided in
Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such
public hearing, and did continue said hearing, and did give
all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard,
and did receive evidence and reports, and did thereupon con-
sider the recommendation of the City Planning Commission; and
Wlf HEAS, after due consideration of all the evi-
dence and reports offered at said hearing, and continued
hearings, the City Council does find and determine that the
property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in which
it is now situated to a different zone, as hereinafter set
forth, is more s''?itable for the zone in which it is now in-
corporated and that a change of zone should not be granted.
NOW, THEREF 0;, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that all of the property and area
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, described as follows, to wit:
Lot 8 of the Kellogg Homestead Tract, as per map thereof
recorded in Book 8, page 51 of Miscellaneous Maps of
Orange County. Also that portion of Lot 9 of said
Kellogg Homestead Tract, bounded and particularly de-
scribed as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner
of said Lot 8 and running; thence due South to the South
line of said Lot 9; thence West along said South line
to the Southwest corner of said Lot 9; thence North
along the West line of said Lot 9 to the Southwest cor-
ner of Lot 8; thence East along the South line of said
Lot 8 to the point of beginning, and more particularly
described as follows:
Starting at a point 1334 feet easterly from the center
line of Brookhurst Street and extending along the
southerly ri gat -of -way line of Ball Road 446 feet;
thence southerly at right angles to Ball Road a dis-
tance of 810.10 feet; thence westerly a distance of
44 feet; thence northerly a distance of 809 feet to
the point of beginning.
remain in the R -A, RESIDENTIAL- AGRICULTURAL DUNE in which it
is now incorporated, and that the proposed reclassification
to M -1, LIGHT MANUFACTURING ZONE, be denied, as recommended
by the City Planning Commission.
THE FOREGOINa- RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 5th day of April, 1955.
