A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO. 269.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City
of Anaheim did receive a petition from the property owner s
of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim.,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
All that certain real property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, being a portion of Vineyard Lot H -1
as shown on a map of the lands of Anaheim
recorded in Book 4, pages 629 and 630 of Deeds,
Los Angeles County, California, more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Vineyard
Lot H -1, said corner also being the intersection
of the Northerly line of South Street 24.75 feet
wide and the Westerly line of East Street 66.00
feet wide as shown on said map of Lands of
Anaheim; thence South 74° 211 04" West along the
South line of said Lot H -1 200.00 feet; thence
North 15 30 00" West parallel with the East
line of said Lot H -1 142.99 feet; thence North
74° 211 04,E East parallel with said South line
200.00 feet to said East line; thence South
15 30' 00" East along said East line 142.99
feet to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold
a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
November 15, 1954, notices of which said public hearing were
duly given as required by law and the provisions of Section
9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission, after due
inspection, investigation and studies made by itself and in
its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and
reports offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No.
53 Series 1954 -55 granting Variance No. 269 upon the con-
dition stated in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, written appeals
were filed with the City Council of the City of Anaheim
opposing the granting of said variance, and said appeals were
set for public hearing on the 28th day of December, 1954 at
8 :00 o'clock P.M. in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim,
and notice of such public hearing was duly given as required
by law and the provisions of Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, after due investigation and studies made
by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of
all the evidence and reports offered at said hearing, the
City Council does find that the addition of an additional
driveway or entrance to the above described property will
be detrimental to other properties in the area.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning
Commission granting Variance No. 269, requesting permission
to add an additional 24 -foot entrance to the above described
property on East Street, starting at a point 143 feet north
of South Street, be, and the same is hereby, reversed, and
said variance is hereby denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 28th day of December, 1 954.

was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the 28th day of
December, 1954, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Fry, Wisser and
Van Wagoner.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim signed and approved said Resolution on the 28th day
of December, 1 954.
