1954-2563-AWHEREAS, Section 465, Subdivision "B," of the
California Vehicle Code provides that local authorities
in their respective jurisdiction shall have authority to
place and maintain, or cause to be placed and maintained,
such traffic signs as may be necessary to indicate and to
carry out the provisions of the California Vehicle Code
and local traffic ordinances, or to regulate, warn or
guide traffic; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Municipal Code, Section
3213, provides that the City Council shall by resolution
determine and designate the character of all official
warning and direction signs and signals; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that to eliminate
traffic hazards and promote the safety and welfare of citizens
and residents of the City of Anaheim, boulevard stop signs
should be established and maintained on Euclid Avenue at the
intersection of Euclid and La Palma Avenues, in the City of
Anaheim,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Chief of Police be, and he
is hereby, authorized and directed to place and maintain
boulevard stop signs on Euclid Avenue, on both sides' at the
intersection of Euclid and La Palma Avenues, in the City of
Anaheim; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the stop signs so
established and maintained shall conform to the regulations
of the California Vehicle Code as to size and design.
