A :..ESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DESIGNATING
THE TERRITORY AS THE MILES RANCHO
ANNEXATION; DEC,CRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING
NOTICE OF THE DAY, hOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND
WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN
SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY
APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE
WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim dice
on the 13th, day of October 19 54 receive a
written petition asking that certain new territory described i;1
laid petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the pro
posal for the annexation of the territory hereinafter described
to the City of Anaheim was submitted to the Boundary Commissiot
of the County of Orange, State of California, and reported upon
by said Boundary Commission with respect to the definiteness and
certainty of the proposed boundaries; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is un-
inhabited territory, and said petition contained a descriptioxt
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
Resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and re-
l 'orts received that at the time of the filing and receipt of sail
petition, it was and now is signed by owners of not less than one
fourth 4) of the area and not less than one- fourth 4) of the
assessed valuation of the land in such territory proposed to be
annexed, according to the last preceding equalized county assess-
ment r111; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and re-
sorts received and from said petition that at the time of the
filing and presentation of said petition that said new territory
proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a
part of any municipal corporation and that said territory was un-
inhabited and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and
evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory
so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows,
to wit:
A parcel of land being a portion of fractional section 4,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meri-
dian and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at an angle- -point on the existing Anaheim City
Limits Line, said point being the most northwesterly corner of
the South Spadra Annexation to the City of Anaheim, Annexation
No. 11, as passed by Ordinance No. 734 on October 13, 1948 and
filed with the Secretary of State on November 15, 1948; thence,
1. Southerly along said existing Anaheim City Limits Line
to the most southwesterly corner of said South Spadra Annexation
said point also being on the northerly right -of -way line of
Romneya Drive (40 feet wide); thence,
2. Westerly along said northerly right -of -way line of
Romneya Drive and existing Anaheim City Limits line to an angle
point in said existing Anaheim City Limits Line; thence,
3. Southerly along said existing Anaheim City Limits Line
and crossing said Romneya Drive to a point in the Southerly right
of -way line of said Romneya Drive; thence,
4. Westerly along said southerly right -of -way line of
Romneya Drive to the southerly prolongation of the westerly line
of Lot 1 of Miles Rancho as shown ona map thereof in Book 4
at Page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County;
thence,
5. Northerly along westerly line of said Lot 1 and its
southerly prolongation across said Romneya Drive to the most
northwesterly corner of said Lot 1; thence,
6. Easterly along northerly line of Lots 1, 2 and 3 of
said Miles Rancho to the existing Fullerton City Limits Line;
thence,
7. Southerly along said existing Fullerton City Limits Line
to an angle point in said existing Fullerton City Limits Line;
thence,
8. Easterly along said existing Fullerton City Limits
Line to the point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ill THE CITY COUNCIL CF

That such proposed annexation be designated as
"TILES RANCHO ANNEXATION," and that notice of such pro
posed annexation be and the same is 'hereby given; and
BE IT FURTHER .�R RESOLVE:
that the 14th day of

at the City Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of AnL.
heim, be and the sat:.e is hereby fixed as the day, hour and place
when and where any person owning real property within said terri-
tory so proposed to be annexed, and having any objections to the
proposed annexation, may appear before the City Council of the
City of Anaheim and show cause why such territory should not be
so annexed; that all persons having any objections to such pro-
posed annexation are hereby notified to appear on said day at said
hour and place to show cause, if any they have, why such territory
should not be so annexed; and
BE IT F_aThER RESCT,VED that the City Clerk be, and he is
Hereby, authorized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution
to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a work,
in a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City, to
wit: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange-County, California,
and also in a newspaper of general circulation, published outside
of the City, but in the County of Orange, in which is located the
territory hereinabove proposed to be annexed to the City of Ana
heim, to wit: THE crenass,anapalsz That such
.publication shall be completed at least twenty (20) clays prior to
the date of hearing hereinabove specified.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be:mailed to
each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed, in the last equalized; county assessment roll
available, on the date the proceedings were initiated, at the
address shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in which he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk: That An the event that land
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim
is owned by a County, the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall
also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to the Board of Supervisors of such County. The foregoing notices
shall be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first
public hearing on the proposed annexation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 9th day of November 19.5

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim signed
and approved said Resolution on the 9th day of November, 1954.
