A 3_ESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING TAT A CHANGE
OF I3 NECESSARY IN CERTAIN AREAL OF THE
CITY AND THAT ARTICLE IX, CiAPTER 2 OF THE ANA
1-EIlLi MUNICIPAL CODE SHOULD BE A TENDED TO
CCGi.iPLISH ,:,AID CHANGE OF ZONE.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim had heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution de-
claring its intention to change the boundaries of the zone or
zones hereinafter mentioned and described and did fix a time and
place for the holding of a public hearing thereon in the manner
and as prescribed in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Muni-
cipal Code, and did duly hold and conduct two public hearings to
consider such proposed change of zone or zones and did receive
evidence and reports from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following
the final hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly
announce by formal resolution its findings of facts and declare
its •opinions and reasons for recommending an amendment to said
Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to effect the
proposed changes of the boundaries of the zone hereinafter ren-
t i oned and described; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation
of the City Planning Commission, the City Council did thereupon
fix the 10th day of August 19_, as the time
and the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim
as the place for a public hearing upon said proposed change of
zone and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided
in said Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did thereupon
consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
the property andarea proposed to be changed from the zone in which
it is now situated to a different zone as hereinafter set forth,
is reore suitable for the zone or zones to which it is proposed to
change said property and area and that the inclusion of said pro-
perty and area in Bush new zone or zones will increase the value
of said property and area and will not depreciate the values of
property in adjoining zones.
NOW, T_.EREFOR 3E IT RESOLVED by the City Council_ of
she City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, de-
scri',aed as follows, to wit: The property owned by the R. W. Con-
struction Co. of Temple City, California, located at the Northeast
corner of West La Palma Avenue and Brookhurst Street in Tract No.
2093, and more particularly described as follows:
That portion of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 5,
TL.S, RlOW, SBB&M, in the City of Anaheim, California described as
follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of the above described
section; thence along the westerly line of said section N. 0° 19' Y1"
W. 803.59 feet; thence N. 89° 110' 16" E. 377.63 feet to a point on a
curve, concave to the southwest, having a radius of 550.00 feet; thence
southerly along said curve 279.22 feet; thence tangent to said curve
S. 0° 19' )J) E. 537.00 feet to the southerly line of said section;
thence along said southerly line S. 89° 4.6' 20" W. a distance of )1)17.00
feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPTING therefrom those dedicated
portions of La Palma Avenue and Brokhurst Street.

be changed from R -A, RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL ZONE, to C -1,
.NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL ZONE, upon the following conditions:
1. That the owner or owners of the property deed
to the City of Anaheim a strip of land 20 feet
in depth along West La Palma Avenue for street
widening purposes, and a strip of land 10 feet
in depth along Brookhurst Street for street
widening purposes.
2. That deed restrictions be filed with the City
of Anaheim according to the standards set up
by the City of Anaheim for other Neighborhood
Shopping Centers.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and
he is hereby, authorized and directed to prepare and submit to
the City Council an amendment to Article IX, Chapter 2 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code to amend said Anaheim Municipal Code to
accomplish the object herein found and determined to be necessary
and proper,

ARID I FURTHER CEBTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
approved and signed said resolution on the 10th day of August, 1954.
