A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DE-
LIVERY OF A QUITCLAIM DEED REMISING, RELEASING
AND QUITCLAIMING ALL OF THE RIGHT, TITLE AND
INTEREST OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM UNDER AND BY
VIRTUE OF A REVERSIONARY CLAUSE CONTAINED IN
A DEED OF CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY TO JAMES S.
BEATTIE AND EMILY BEATTIE, HUSBAND AND WIFE.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 9th day of
March 1954 the City Council adopted Resolution
No. 2359 authorizing the sale of the real property and
premises hereinafter described to James S. Beattie and
Emily Beattie, husband and wife; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said resolution a deed was
duly made and executed by the Mayor and the City Clerk of
the City of Anaheim conveying said real property to the
said James S. Beattie and Emily Beattie, husband and wife,
which said deed was recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of Orange County, California on the 12th day of
March, 1954 in Book 2687, Page 307 of Official Records; and
WHEREAS, said deed contained a reversionary clause
providing that said property was sold upon the condition that
it be used for industrial purposes only, and that if the
grantees or their assigns failed to comply with the condi-
tions therein specified the title to said property would re-
vert to the City of Anaheim and the purchase price would be
returned to said grantees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that the pur-
chasers have improved said property and intend to use it
for industrial purposes, and that all the right, title, in-
terest, claim or demand of the City of Anaheim under and by
virtue of the reversionary clause contained in said deed
should be remised, released and quitclaimed to said pur-
chasers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and the City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed to make, execute
and deliver to James S. Beattie and Emily Beattie, husband
and wife, a good and sufficient Quitclaim Deed remising, re-
leasing and forever quitclaiming to said grantees all the
right, title, interest, estate, claim or demand which the City
of Anaheim has by virtue of the reversionary clause contained
in that certain deed executed by the City to said grantees
and recorded March 12, 1954 in Book 2687, Page 307 of Official
Records of Orange County, California, in and to the following
described real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, and more particularly
described as follows:
That portion of the southwest quarter of the
southeast quarter of Section 3, Township 4
South, Range 10 West of the San Bernardino
Base and Meridian, in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, de-
scribed as follows:

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 13th day of July 1954.

Beginning at a point on the north line of
East La Palma Avenue, which point is 30
feet north of the monumented center line of
said East La Palma Avenue and 30.18 feet
east of the monumented center line of North
Olive Street; thence northerly along a line
parallel with the monumented center line of
said North Olive Street a distance of 132.50
feet to the true point or beginning; thence
continuing northerly along a line parallel
with said monumented center line of North
Olive Street a distance of 157.50 feet to a
point; thence East along a line parallel with
the north line of said East La Palma Avenue a
distance of 200 feet to a point; thence
southerly along a line parallel with the
monumented center line of said North Olive
Street a distance of 157.50 feet to a point;
thence West along a line parallel with the
north line of said East La Palma Avenue a
distance of 200 feet to the point of begin-
ning.
RESERVING to the City of Anaheim an easement
for public utilities over, under or across
the Easterly five (5) feet of said tract.
