A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAH1 TM AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY
CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT 'WITH SOUTHERN
PACIFIC COMPANY GRANTING TO THE CITY A LICENSE
TO CONSTRUCT, RECONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND OPER-
ATE A 10 -INCH STANDARD STEEL PIPE, ENCASED IN
50 FEET OF 1Li. -INCH STEEL PIPE WITH MINIMUM WALL
THICKNESS OF 3/16 INCH, BENEATH THE RAILROAD
RIGHT -OF -WAY OF SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY AT
ENGINEER STATION 932 PLUS 33.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is constructing a ten
(10) inch standard steel water pipe line in the City of
Anaheim and it is necessary to construct said line across
the ra ilroad right -of -way of Southern Pacific Company at
Engineer Station 932 plus 33; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to obtain a license and
a permit from Southern Pacific Company, a corporation, to
construct said line beneath the railroad and right -of -way
of said Southern Pacific Company's main line track at said
Engineer Station 932 plus 33; and
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company has offered
to enter into an agreement granting to the City of Anaheim
a permit and license to construct, reconstruct, maintain and
operate a ten (10) inch standard steel pipe line encased in
fifty (50) feet of fourteen (14) inch steel pipe with minimum
wall thickness of three sixteenth (3/16) inch, beneath said
Company's main line track at said Engineer Station 932 plus
33 at a depth of not less than three (3) feet below the base
of ties of the main line track of said Company at said point;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that said license and permit are necessary and that said
agreement should be made and entered into with said Southern
Pacific Company,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the agreement dated June 22, 1954
this day submitted to the City Council, to be made and entered
into by and between Southern Pacific Company, a corporation,
and the City of Anaheim, granting to the City of Anaheim a
license and permit to construct, reconstruct, maintain and
operate a ten (10) inch standard steel pipe, encased in fifty
(50) feet of fourteen (iL.) inch steel pipe with minimum wall
thickness of three sixteenth (3/16) inch, for the purpose of
conveying water beneath the property and railroad right -of -way
of said Southern Pacific Company at Engineer Station 932 plus
33, not less than three (3) feet below the base of the ties in
said Company's main line track at said Station, upon the terms
and conditions set forth in said agreement, be and the same is
hereby approved; and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and
they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement for and
on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 2nd day of July, 1954.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
