A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO. 504.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City
of Anaheim did receive a petition from the owner of certain
real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Lot 22 of Tract No. 796, as shown on a map
recorded in Book 24, page 28 of Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California.
(Said property is located on the south side of
Orange Avenue, approximately 686 feet west of
the center line of Gilbert Street.)
AND WHERBAS, the City Planning Commission did hold
a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim 'on
Maroh 5, 1956, notices of which said public hearing were duly
given, as required by law and the provisions of Section
9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WrlEREAS, said City Planning Commission, after due
inspection, investigation and studies made by itself and in
its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and
reports offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No.
139 -- Series 1955-56 recommending that Varianoe No. 504 be
granted upon the conditions therein set forth; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, a written ap-
peal was filed with the City Council of the City of Anaheim
protesting the action of the City Planning Commission grant-
ing said variance, and said appeal was set for public hearing
on March 27, 1956, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., at the City Hall
in the City of Anaheim, and notice of such publio hearing
was duly given as required by law and the provisions of
Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, after due investigation and studies made
by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of
all the evidence and reports offered at said hearing, the
City Council does find and determine that:
1. There is no substantial property right
possessed by other property in the same
vicinity and zone and denied the subject
property.
2. It appears that the subject property can
be adequately developed and used under the
present zone.

NOW,rHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning
Commission granting Variance No. 504, requesting permission
to erect a lO-unit medical center and perscription pharmaoy
on the hereinabove described property, be, and the same is
hereby disapproved, and that Variance No. 504 be, and the
same is hereby, denied.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City
of Anaheim signed and approved said resolution on the 27th
day of Maroh, 1956.
