RESOLUTION NO. 3173
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE COM-
MENCill-IENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEX-
ATION OF INHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM.

WHEREAS, Calvin L. Pebley. Paul Plentz. Bill T. Asawa,
fVlf'_I'ten.l John lv. Fuquay. Carl E. Korn and Kent F.
have filed with the City Council a written request, requesting
thl'l consent of the City Council of the City of Anaheim to the
commencement of proceedings for the annexation of the herein-
after described t9rY'itory to the City of Anaheim, and stating
that said territCJ17 is inhabited territory and is contiguous to
the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
it would be to the advantage and benefit of the City of Anaheim
and to the qualified eleotors residing within said territory to
permit the above ;!amec. proponents to commence prooeedings for
the annexation of ."aj.d territory to the City of Anaheim, upon
the conditions heY'eina!'ter set forth; and
WHEREAS, said request has been referred to the City
Planning Comri!issJ.on and its report and recommendations reoeived
rocommending the granting of oonsent to commenoe proceedings for
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, ~{EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of
the City of Anaheim th2t the consent of the City Council be, and
it is hereby given to said proponents to commence proceedings
for the annoxation of the hereinafter described territory to the
City of Anaheim, upon the following conditions:
Firs!: That the proposal for annexation of said terri-
tory to the City of Anaheim shall be submitted to and reported
upon to the proponentR by th8 Boundary Commission of the County
of Orange, with respect to the definiteness and certainty of
proposed boundaries.
Second: That no Detition be circulated for the annexa-
tion of said territory until after notice of intention to oircu-
late such potition has been published as required by law, and a
COfY of such noti0,e and an affidavit of publication has been
fiJ c;d Hith the Ci"':;y Cisrk of the City of Anaheim within ten (10)
days a~ter the date of publication of said notice, and a resolu-
tion has been adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
acknoHledging receipt of said notice and approving the circula-
tion of said petition.
Third: That the circulation of any petition for the
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim shall not
be commenoed until twenty-one (21) days after the publioation
of said notioe of intention to 0 iroulate the same.

BALL DALE ANNEXATION

A tract of land being a portion of Sections 18 and 19, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, and Section 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 23 and 24 of Township 4 South,
Range 11 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, and more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at a point on the exisUng City Limits Line, said point being the
southeast corner of Ball Road and Gilbert Street; thence,
I, Westerly 660 feet, more or less, along a line thirty feet southerly and
parallel to the north line of the Net of the NWt of Section 19, T4S, RIOW, SBB&M,
said line also being the south line of Ball Road, to the southerly prolongation
of the easterly line of Tract No. 787 as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book
24, Page 9, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence,
2. Northerly 60 feet, more or less, along the southerly prolongation of
the easterly line of said Tract No. 787 to a point, said point also being the
southeast corner of Lot 4, Block A, of said Tract No. 787; thence,
3. Northerly 1290 feet, more or less, along the easterly line of said Tract
No, 787 to the most northeasterly corner of said tract, said point also being in
the southerly line of Tract No. 796 as recorded in Book 24, Page 28 of Miscella~
neous Maps, records of Orange County; thence,
4. Westerly 30 feet, more or less. along the northerly line of said Tract
No. 787 and the southerly line of Tract No, 796 to the southerly prOlongation of
the easterly line of Lots 12 through 20 of said Tract No. 796; thence,
5. Northerly 1080 feet, more or less, along said easterly line and southerly
prolongation to the southeasterly corner of Lot 22 of said Tract No. 796; thence,
6. Westerly 280 feet, more or less, along the southerly line of Lots 21
and 22 of Tract No. 796 to a point of intersection with a line ten feet easterly,
as measured at right angles from the westerly line of said Lot 21; thence,
7. Northerly 260 feet, more or less, along the westerly line of said Lot 21
and its northerly prolongation to a point in the northerly line of the NEt of the
sw{ of Section 18, T4S, RIOW, SBBM, said northerly line being the centerline of
Orange Avenue; thence,
8. Continuing northerly twenty feet, more or less, along said northerly
prolongation to a point twenty feet northerly as measured at right angles from
said northerly line of the Net of the sW;t of Section 18, T4S, RlOW, SBBM, and
said centerline of Orange Avenue, said point being on the existing Anaheim City
Limits Line as established by the Grivey Annexation to the City of Anaheim,
Annexation No. 45 as passed by Ordinance No. 930 on September 28, 1954 and filed
with the Secretary of State on November 1, 1954; thence,
9. Westerly 348 feet, more or less, along a line parallel to and twenty
feet northerly of said northerly line of the NEt of the swt of Section 18, 14S,
RIOW, SBBM, and on the southerly line of said Grivey Annexation to the most
southwesterly corner of said Grivey Annexation; thence,
10. Northerly along the westerly line of said Grivey Annexation to the north~
west corner thereof, said point also being an angle point in the Gilbert Street
Annexation to the City of Anaheim as passed by Ordinance No. 868 and filed with
the Secretary of State January 11, 1954; thence,
