A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THAT
THE NAME OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM BE WITHDRAWN
AS A PROTESTANT OR AS AN INTERESTED PARTY IN
THE PROCEEDINGS UPON THE APPLICATION OF THE
PACIFIC TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY FOR
AN INCREASE IN RATES._
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on or about the 26th
day of May, 1953, the City Council did duly adopt and pass
Resolution No. 2157 authorizing the City of Anaheim to join
with a group of other cities in opposing the application of
The Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company for an increase
in rates; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds upon further in-
vestigation and inquiry that the name of the City of Anaheim
should be withdrawn as an opponent or contestant in said
proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim withdraw as
an opponent or contestant in the proceedings upon the applica-
tion of The Pacific Telephone aid Telegraph Company for an
increase in rates; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this
resolution be filed in said proceedings now pending before
the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 9th day of February, 1 954•

meeting of the City Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the 9th day of
February, 1954, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Fry, Wisser and Van Wagoner.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Schutte.
AND I FURTHER. CERTIFY that the Mayor of the., City of Anaheim approved
and signed said resolution on the 9th day of February, 1954.
