A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT CERTAIN USES, OPERATIONS AND TYPES
OF BUSINESS ARE WITHIN THE PERMISSIBLE
USES AND FALL WITHIN THE TYPES OF BUSI-
NESS AND CLASSIFICATION OF THE M -1,
LIGHT MANUFACTURING ZONE, AS THAT ZONE
IS DEFINED AND SET FORTH IN ARTICLE IX,
CHAPTER 2, SECTION 9000.11 OF THE ANA-
HEIM MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, an ambiguity exists as to whether oertain
proposed uses, operations, and types of business are within
the permissible uses and are authorized in the M -1, Light
Manufacturing Zone uses as defined and set forth in Article
IX, Chapter 2, Section 9200.11 of the Anaheim Municipal Code;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council did request the City
Planning Commission to investigate said proposed uses, opera-
tions and types of business and to ascertain the facts and to
find and determine from such facts whether such proposed uses,
operations and types of business are permissible uses and
within the classifications of the said M -1, Light Manufactur-
ing Zone, and to report its findings of fact and recommenda-
tions to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, said proposed uses include the manufacture
of industrial fasteners, screw machine products and pressed
steel shop and office equipment involving operations consist-
ing of general machine shop work, punch presses and general
metal working machine tools and equipment, metal plating,
finishing, processing and heat treating, and other like opera-
tions; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has investi-
gated such proposed uses, operations and types of business
and has ascertained the facts and has reported its findings
of fact and recommendations to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, it appears from the findings of fact of the
Planning Commission that the proposed uses, operations, and
types of business above mentioned and described are permiss-
ible uses and within the classifications of the M -1, Light
Manufacturing Zone, as defined in Article IX, Chapter 2,
Section 9200.11 of the Anaheim Municipal Code, and that said
Code provision should be so interpreted.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the findings of fact of the City
Planning Commission aforesaid, and its recommendations relat-
ing thereto be, and the same are hereby, approved and the
City Council does hereby find and determine that the above
mentioned and described uses, operations and types of busi-
ness are permissible uses and within the classification of
uses, operations and types of business defined and set forth
in the M -1, Light Manufacturing Zone, as that Zone is defined
in Article IX, Chapter 2, Section 9200.11 of the Anaheim

Municipal Code, and that it was the intention of the City
Council in adopting said code provisions to authorize and
permit such uses, operations and types of business in said
M -1 Zone.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved
by me this 28th day of September, 1953.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the Oity

day of September, 1953.
