My wife and I have lived in Anaheim Hills since 1980 and in our current home since
1990. We have seen all of the fires in the area and have been evacuated at least 5-6
times. Each time the traffic has increased with frantic people not making the best
decisions in a panic mode. Our closest intersection is Weir Canyon and Canyon Vista
(Serrano) and the traffic is so bad from people trying to get to Santa Ana Canyon Road
that sometimes in the evening we can't even turn onto Weir Canyon and just turn
around and go back home.
With the addition of at least another 1000 vehicles just from the proposed Festival
Shopping Center project, I fear we will not be able to evacuate the area WHEN there is
another fire. Please vote against this proposed project! We can not withstand any
more vehicles in this very vulnerable fire area without loss of lives. Please consider
the existing residence and wildlife when voting on this project.
Please vote NO (AGAINST) on the Festival Shopping Center Project.
